I'm giving this homey little place 4 stars in the context of what it is - a great little local restaurant with good southern comfort food. On our visit we had just spent a rainy night camping at Hungry Mother and were looking for some good, hot food for breakfast. The restaurants on main were all dark and locked up tight (with the exception of Macadoos which doesn't have a breakfast menu.) So, we decided to drive out of the way to Casey's.
Our experience was similar to others - there were 4 other groups in the place and only one server. We felt like we received our food in a reasonable time though, and our orders were all correct. The food was hot and delicious, prepared just like my grandmother used to make it, and plenty of it! I had eggs, bacon, french toast, grits - I got it all in my belly with a smile on my face. Can't beat that.
There is a beautiful stretch of the SoHo across the street where you might be able to watch a fisherman land a rainbow on a fly. I would go back without hesitation. If you like a good southern breakfast (or any meal) from friendly local businesses, definitely...

Casey's doesn't look like much from the outside and there is nothing fancy on the inside, but it has a great menu selection. Food portions are generous. Meals tasted fantastic. Prices are low. We liked it so much that we came back the next day for lunch and are considering coming a 3rd day for lunch once more. There is enough selection to make it worth while.
They have a special each day. Today was lasagna and tomorrow is pan fried pork chops!!
If you are in the area and have a hankering for great food at great prices,, then this is definitely a worth while...
Read moreWe recently moved in the area where Casey's Diner is located and have enjoyed many meals here. The menu is what you would expect for a country diner and diverse enough so everyone can find what they want. My husband and I like to get the daily specials and usually eat here two times a week. My husband's favorite special is the Friday Shrimp, Clams, Fish dinner. You get your choice of shrimp and fish or clams or fish, the meal comes with coleslaw, fries, and hushpuppies. We have taken out of town company to eat here and they thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast! The burgers are outstanding, actually, everything I have had has been very good. The setting is so quaint. It is worth the drive, so come on out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner Tuesday...
