This place has great Italian food, great service, and was 7 minutes from our hotel next to Kings Dominion.
DO NOT use a food pickup service here. DRIVE AND PICK UP YOURSELF. She told me the earliest they picked up was 20 minutes AFTER the food was ready, and the latest was 1.5 HOURS after the food was ready.
We ordered dinner to take back to our hotel on Sunday night. She was so accommodating! Have us extra paper plates, a ton of napkins. Ran out to the car too give me the pizza we also ordered because I forgot we had that too.
We ordered the stuffed shells, 3 other entrees (chicken picstta, vodka penne with chicken, and something else for one of the kids), and one build your own pizza, mozzarella sticks appetizer.
Have them read your order back to you. She didn't pick up in the stuffed shells even tho it was the first item mentioned. I didn't check the order or realize there was no stuffed shells entree until I got back and we unpacked everything.
BUT! Everything was delicious. The chicken in the chicken picatta was EXCELLENT. Not overcooked, tender and juicy. The chicken chunks in the Vodka Penne were dry, overcooked, but not horrible because the sauce was TOO DIE FOR! The kids lived their simple entree (spaghetti maybe?) and the pizza. The appetizer was really good but I forget what it was! The mozzarella sticks were nice and hot with gooey cheese. They included Garlic Knots, a big container of them, I guess most of the entrees came with them.
They were ok but needed more garlic or at least some salt. They were sorry if bland. Order them with extra garlic or bring your own garlic powder. They were nice and buttery in the outside, fluffy and delicious on the inside, just not enough flavor. I added salt to make it better.
All that cost about $110. Give or take.
I'm sure the stuffed shells would have been great! Just get them to repeat your order. Good advice for ANY restaurant.
The restaurant had plenty of seating but we ordered carryout. Don't know...
Read moreStumbled upon this gem of a place by accident going to the Gary Allan concert 6/16. I'm all about local eats. I had the homemade mash potatoes, coleslaw, crab cakes, cornbread, sweet tea, and to go baby back ribs. Crab cakes were a mix of lump and shredded meat, lightly deep fried, seasoned great, 5oz each. I should've got a homemade dessert. I didn't have room to eat it and didn't get it to go. My loss... My waitress was sweet and did a great job (Keira). I didn't catch if the lady cooking was the owner when we spoke about the food. If she is thank you for the great food! Atmosphere was clean, spacious, and vintage decor of Coca cola. A awesome antiques and more just next door. I left my phone in the truck sorry no photos.oh! I saw the hamburger steak go by and the smell just had me wanting it too! Ate the ribs today and they were fantastic! Tender,...
Read moreMy first time ordering curbside today. Got meatloaf with mashed potatoes and stringbeans and roll and gravy. Side of onion rings My bf got the crab cake sandwich on a bun with coleslaw and potato salad
Meatloaf was ok if you like seasoning in it. I’m used to plain so for me it was a bit too much seasoning. Poatatoes, stringbeans and roll were all good. Even the gravy. My bf said the crab cake was good and a nice size. Potatoe salad was more of a mashed potatoe salad and coleslaw was ok. Had been seeing them advertise on fb so I thought I’d try them. May or may not be back as it is some distance from where I live. I may try their fried chicken next...
