Finally hit our breaking point which is unfortunate because the food is delicious. We consistently order and something is wrong - I feel like we shouldn’t even bother saying which tortillas we want, no matter what we end up with flour and twice queso has been forgotten. Also be prepared to sit and wait about 10-20 mins when you go to pick the food up. Tonight though was our breaking point with problems. We arrived to pick our food up and were first brought the wrong order. Then someone else came to ask what we’d ordered and re-wrote it down. I asked when I paid if the order was just put in and was told no, it was in the back all ready however I waited another 10 mins and the order was still not what we’d placed on the phone. When ordering the Chori loco fajitas on the phone they asked if we wanted steak/chicken/both we chose both but we received just chicken (that wasn’t repeated back when I told them what we had ordered) and the chimichangas were supposed to be one chicken one steak which we’ve done before and did say when relaying our order, but received just chicken. We’ve learned to double check our order before leaving after our previous visits but those aren’t easy things to check before driving off. But the finally straw was the collection of stuff in our food that made me feel like the guy who complained about his Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There was a bone in the fajitas...fine, it had chicken though I’m glad we weren’t feeling this to a child. But my husband’s meal...there was a quarter sized piece of plastic broken off from who knows what mixed in with rice and queso. Then we found another piece of hard, dark yellow colored material that doesn’t look like anything intended for our food but we honestly can’t tell what it is. I wish Google reviews gave the ability to add photos to reviews because this was just beyond rough. We’ve learned to expect the service and accuracy to be off, but now that the food has had this kind of issue I think it’s...
Read moreJust got home from here. It was recommended by a friend and since my kids and I love Mexican, we had to try it. We got there at apx 3:45 to beat the dinner rush. We were seated immediately and had water eventually brought to us. I’m not sure what happened but we then didn’t get our food until almost 5 PM. We were the only customers when we first came in. Others came in and got their food almost immediately. Maybe it’s because our server was mad my 3 year old accidentally knocked over the water. I cleaned all of the ice and trash off the floor & asked for the mop so I could clean it myself. Our server was upset that she had so many tables and while I understand that frustration it’s absolutely not okay to speak the way she did - especially when your customers know Spanish. The older woman was warm and kind and seemed to love just watching my kids be kids but I felt like the biggest inconvenience to our younger server. She was snappy when I didn’t know which letter on the kids menu mac n cheese was and she was as short and rude to customers at other tables as well. The food was meh. The cheese sauce was flavorless. Tortilla chips were awful as well. I asked for fried chimichangas with no tomato and they were brought with a tomato (that took all my sour cream when I removed it) and not a single centimeter was fried. I didn’t trust it to send the food back so I ate what I could until I came across a weird black mark on my food. My ankles were eaten alive at the table inside and I also spent most of my time swatting flies away from my kids food. I’d honestly avoid this place. Maybe I caught them on an off night but I will make sure to tell all of my local friends to...
Read moreMi Rancho has changed its name to Jalisco. Some little bits of Mi Rancho ( like their lunch carry out menus) remain but it is now branded differently. One thing I noticed was the new menu! This has many new offerings. It's a big menu! While here we had shrimp fajitas, and Pina loca. This is a far cry from our staple Chile rellano , rice and beans but it was fun. They serve things on big platters now (even the kids meals.) I asked for the no meat version of the fajita veggies in the pineapple, the only thing that would have made it better was if there was some pineapple with the veggies- it was served in the hollowed out 1/2 pineapple after all. Other than that, service was good albeit a few mix-ups with our order. We were a party of five and we didn't get tortillas for the fajitas to well after two meals had been halfway finished, and the cheese enchilada came with meat and was not changed until those halfway done meals were finished. We were one of five sets of costumers in the restaurant at time. Must have just been...
