Our pastor recommended this place to us! We are so glad that he did. We just had the most amazing meal!

Francos located in an unassuming strip mall - but do not be dismayed! Once you enter- you will be enveloped by a lovely selection of Italian music- only surpassed by the beautiful welcoming greeting by your Italian hostess Maria.

The decor is classic cafe style with a bright Italian flair. Beautiful art and wall tiling accent the seating area and fresh greens are in vases on every table.

The service was prompt throughout the meal. The restaurant and rest rooms were clean and tidy.

The food - if you read this far, I will not disappoint.

I ordered the vegetarian Stromboli- enough for 4 people so be prepared. This dish was freshly prepared- olives, spinach, tomato. Broccoli, garlic- a beautiful explosion of color and flavor! It was a work of art!

The garlic knots were the best I’ve had- absolutely beautiful and with the right balance of garlic (not too overwhelming) and gently oven browned to allow for that perfect crisp top with warm soft flavorful middle.

My husband went with a more traditional onion rings (perfectly fried) and a sausage with sauce hot hero. Once again perfectly oven prepared.

To finish the meal we enjoyed a piece of lemon cello cake. Light and flavorful with that perfect hint of tart.

A really great “little” restaurant with “big” flavor. We couldn’t decide what to get so tired a pizza, wrap, fettuccini, and a Stromboli. Five of us sampled every plate, and we could not finish any of them; consider splitting whatever you order. Staff: Very enjoyable company from start to finish. Welcoming, accommodating, helpful, funny, and just good people. Atmosphere: Clean and comfortable. No blaring obnoxious music, plenty of space between tables, and great lighting. Food: Hot! Delicious! Worth every dime (not too bad) and time waiting (not long at all). Appetizer of onion rings, cheese triangles, fried mushrooms, and chicken fingers served with delicious marinara and ranch. Pepperoni pizza had great flavor, not drenched in grease, and the crust was not overly filling. Fettuccine Alfredo was creamy, perfect sized noodles, and had great flavor. Steak wrap was super moist, finely chopped meat, and fresh fillings. Fries were tasty and cooked perfectly. Stromboli (Franco’s Special) was full of fresh toppings, meats, and cheese wrapped in a fine crust; “just like we make at home”. Tiramisu taken home and split between four of us to...

Franco’s Pizza in Hayes, VA is an absolutely great place to both “dine in” or get take away. There is a large menu that will suit all ages and appetites - from exquisite Italian dishes cooked to perfection to kids meals if your are trying to have a great meal while appeasing the “young ones” in your household.

No matter what you order, it will be delicious and cooked with love. He brings years of experience and recipes from his family restaurant to our neighborhood here in Gloucester.

The staff is incredibly engaging and the service is excellent. Franco’s has also done some design changes to the restaurant for the dining in crowd be creating an entry way with 2 doors to keep A/C or heat in when customer enter or exit the restaurant.

We have dined both at the restaurant as well as taken food home. We have done it so many times that we felt compelled to share how great both the food and the people are at Franco’s. Do yourself and your family a favor…....
