This is a very laid back local diner. Many people know one another I like that they have daily specials. They get food out from kitchen quick and food is reasonably priced. There is a regular flow of people all day. I know the waitresses are always busy, But they handle it well
But This visit was by far, our worst experience here. The waitress was younger (blond) than usual. We waited a much long time than usual. Then she waited on another table (that came in after us) first. I walked over and got menus and told her we were were seated several minutes before them. When she came with placemats and settings, I had to stop her because our table was dirty. She huffed and went off to get a dirty rag. When we brought the wrong dressing for hubby, but never came back with correct one. I ordered x x crispy ff. And I repeated it to her. Of course, they didn't come that way and I immediately sent back. She huffed again and complained loudly through the kitchen window to cooks for all to hear. She never came back for beverage refills and just dropped check on table without stopping to see if we needed anything. I waited over 5 min at register alone to pay when she finally stopped and never said a word. She didn't say, "thank you", have a nice day, ...

Two people can't even eat at McDonald's for that price anymore let alone home cooked sit down meal. People complaining about the food quality.... there's a fun town about 15 miles east called Winchester where you can go pay for over priced meals. What are you expecting from a restaurant that has $8 dinners? Wagu beef and shrimp scampi? Also the pies are absolutely homemade. If you don't like diner atmosphere head on down the road and get...
Read moreThis is the type of place your Nan with no teeth or taste buds goes to chat with her knitting circle and smoke pall malls. It's the esthetic, as the kids would say. I ordered a smothered beef sandwich and mash. The sandwich was two slices of great value white bread, a slice of year old roast beef lunch meat covered in canned gravy. The mash was actually decently made boxed taters. I do enjoy a boxed tater. I'll give 3-stars for...
