Koffee Kup — Restaurant in Virginia

Love this little out of the way, old style feel, breakfast nook. Great food, great atmosphere & staff, my family and I will continue to return.

The other day, my family and I were here (3 people total) and we got lost in conversation after the meal. Due to COVID this restaurant can't use half of their available tables, so the owner kindly came up and asked us if we were done, and pleaded with us that, though he hated to do it, he needed the table for his other customers. We understood completely and I was thoroughly impressed that he approached the table himself and didn't make one of the waitresses do it. I can't tell you how many places I've worked that when a manager didn't like something I was made to be the bad guy because they were too chicken or didn't want to. He also does rounds through the restaurant and helps with rolling silverware, and probably whatever else needs to be done. That's not a boss, that's a leader. And...

Koffee Kup used to be my go to breakfast place before I moved. It’s still good but it’s not quite as good and has changed. Today I found out that they no longer have sliced fried potatoes with onions. Always what I ordered. Instead they only have fried cubed potatoes which I never ordered. Getting rid of one of their best breakfast items is not a welcome or positive change. I also asked for my corned beef hash to be cooked extra crispy. That’s not what I got. Maybe not being a regular anymore results in folks not cooking something the way you want it. I didn’t complain and went with the flow. Yes it's a diamond in the ruff ' times I have been at the restaurant has been good the other day I came in before close about 10 minutes- there were slander remarks toward me of a particular sever that I took personally- apparently I came in to late - even though it was not 2PM- there for I left - I or no one needs any disrespect if no one especially the server's that need Parton's tips - no disrespect to any and all server's in the field- It left a somewhat bad taste with myself- all who know and enjoy the little restuarant and people within- by all means continue to enjoy oneself- however this verteran shall give elsewhere- take care and GOD...
