Lakeside Tavern — Restaurant in Virginia

Wow, worst experience I have ever had and actually have been here many times. Never, Ever again will I set foot in there again. Ordered Korean Beef because it is usually very good. The Bartendar, a not so intentive, tattoed lady, took my order. She brought me chicken wings instead. I said I ordered the Korean Barbecue. She said to me that "the chicken wings" are the "Korean Barbecue". So than I replied, "so let me get this straight"..."The Korean BEEF is really CHICKEN?" And she said yes. Okay, ALRIGHTY THEN, I said. So, at this point, the regular bartendar comes in. I decided to go ahead and eat the wings. I tasted them, and they tasted like fish. I thought they might have cooked the wings in the same oil that they cooked some fish in. I even let my friend taste them and he said they definately taste like fish. So The Bartender ask me did I want them to remake them and I said, No just give me a Cheeseburger with fries. It wasnt until I was done that the Bartender had the nerve and the audacity, to confront me and asked me if my fries tasted like fish? I said no they tasted fine. Then he replied " the chicken wings were cooked in the same oil, so I do not know how they tasted like fish." I nodded and said "GOOD POINT". "YOU MUST HAVE CROSS CONTAMINATED YOUR CHICKEN THEN.!!!!!! I will take my check now thank you!" ...

Since I didn't get to eat here, this is strictly for the service and atmosphere. We found this place online. Wanted a place while traveling that wasn't a chain, but where I could have a drink with my lunch for my birthday. We walked in and it smelled of smoke, first turnoff. Then since we were traveling, we used the restrooms. Not the best. I came out and the guy was still sitting at the bar playing on his phone. I asked if the kitchen was open, he said yea. We sat down and he brought us menus. Asked what we wanted to drink. I asked about a beer menu. He pointed to the bat and said that's what we have. I told him I would look after we decided what we wanted to eat. He walked away, sat back down, dialed his phone and started talking. Then he walked down the other end of the bar. This is a wonderful place to wine & dine & to participate as one of the Singers on Karaoki night's! I think Tony is a very nice person and an asset to Lake Side Tavern! He always greets the singers with enthusiasm and calls their name out in and orderly manner when it's their time to sing! He is one of the reason's that I like Lake Side Tavern!
