Lyons Den Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

I decided to stop here since I haven't lived in town for a decade. As I entered the building, other customers were striking up conversation with me, and the feeling of southern hospitality made me feel at home. All my feelings were quickly dashed as I encountered the clerk. She did not seem on par with the others, and she was just short of rude. Im not saying she was rude, but sort of unwelcoming. At any rate, I politely placed my order, and paid, l I was then made aware it would be ready in 45 minutes. I was forced to ask my wife (who waited outside), to return for the sandwich after she dropped me off for work. I forwarded the receipt to my wife via text message. (The clerk had taken my phone number and sent a reciept.) When my wife returned with the reciept she showed it to the woman that I had encountered earlier. She had problems identifying my order, and I am told she was extremely rude. In fact, my wife would have actually left the order behind had it not been pre-paid. After my wife's call we compared notes, and it is very unfortunate that one rude employee warrants my 1star...

I’ve enjoyed there food for over 25-30 years now..any other time I’d definitely give them 5 stars, but idk what happened today other than someone was slacking in the meat department!!! I ordered 2-16” Philly steak n cheese subs and 1-16” Italian sub and there was barely anything in it!! To say my family was disappointed I’d an understatement, as we had been looking forward to this all day only to end up with pretty much just bread with just enough meat on it to add some extra flavor!!! Maybe this just happened because it was close to closing time or something.. I pray that’s all it is because I’d hate to think of us never eating there again..with the way things are right now with gas prices and food prices going up, the last thing a customer wants to feel after driving almost 45 minutes, is...

It has been a while since I’ve eaten Lyons Den.. I’d say 9 months or longer. The food has always been pretty good. Yesterday, 3/5 of my coworkers, myself included ordered from there because it was close, convenient and because we hadn’t eaten there in a while. The three of us stated to each other that the food just wasn’t what we remembered and that our food was extremely greasy. I’ll go off what I had which was the Stromboli. I couldn’t even pick up my Stromboli without the toppings inside sliding out and because of the amount of grease that poured out of it. My husband ate half of it today for lunch and immediately threw it back up because of how much grease there was.
