McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia

We went through the drive thru in opal and the woman who took our order was the sweetest most helpful woman I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She told us the tea machine was down and was extremely apologetic for the inconvenience. We ordered a soda instead and then pulled around to be happily greeted by her, who was an older white woman who the proceeded to apologize again. As pleasant and kind as the first woman was, we pulled to the second woman to be greeted by a woman with a nasty scowl who refused to speak to me. I said hello and she groaned. She practically threw our food out the window at us and then slammed the window shut. We sat and waited for our other drinks to come out. She saw us still sitting there and slammed the window open and said what as angry and rude as she could! She said what?? I told her we were missing two drinks and what they were. She didn’t say sorry or anything and slammed the window shut again. She went and got our drinks two minutes later and came back to the window to angrily give them to me. I told her thank you and smiled and she literally growled at me. Like who does that? I’m so sorry if you’re having a bad day or if you dislike your job, however all I did was try to get my kids breakfast and she made our morning as unpleasant as she could. If she is to continue working here she should not have the job of drive through window. As that is the face everyone sees and she totally put a nasty taste in my mouth after that experience. The only thing that saved this whole experience is the first kind woman. I have never had someone so nice at any drive through. So to be greeted by the anti christ at the second window was quite a surprise. I will be taking a break from this McDonald’s needless to say. It’s right down the road from our house so it’s super convenient, but I will not be treated that way and continue to give them my money...

Why on earth would anyone waste time rating a McDonalds? Food is standardized sub-par, and the same anywhere you go. Well, because the service at this place (10068 James Madison Hwy, Warrenton, VA 20186) was unbelievable!!

When you become accustomed to McD's service that ranges anywhere from "Nice people, but don't speak English and mess up my order," to "Yeeeeaaahhh, I don't feel welcome here. I think I am inconveniencing the staff," then the gems truly stand out.

The lady taking my order just now at the drive through window was so pleasant it actually took me aback! The gentleman who took my payment was "Chic-Fil-A friendly" with an extremely warm greeting and great energy! And the young girl who gave me my food was also very nice! And mind you, this was at noon, when they are getting slammed with the lunch rush!

I had no issues with the food, but the cashier named Valerie was quite rude while taking my order. I said that I want a large ice coffee. SHE asked what flavor and proceeded to run thru the list of flavors. I said mocha. When she brought it to me, it was hot. I explained that I asked her for iced coffee. She looked at me and said that I never said iced or a flavor. Well how did she know that I wanted mocha if I never said it. I said that it's ok, keep the coffee and give me my money back for it. SHE said *No, I am making you another one *. She seemed to be in a bad mood before I got to place my order. I didn't deserve any attitude. The next customer after me actually walked out before he finished placing his order due to her attitude. Hopefully her day...
