Panda Kitchen — Restaurant in Virginia

This place is on par for typical Chinese take out - good food, always made reasonably fast, with friendly staff. Tonight though, they got that great status from me. I walked in and a woman is arguing with the cashier. She is pissed and gets her refund but she wants to keep arguing. She wants some more food for free and the manager and yada-yada-yada. I seriously can't stand people like this. If youre pissed, ok. But don't make a scene and the rest of us listen and don't dump on this nice girl behind the counter. What did the cashier do, say I'm sorry but we are busy and have a nice day. I loved it. She didn't acquiesce into every demand. She said I gave you a refund but we are too busy to make you more food, please find another restaurant. And the whole time she was polite and had a smile... more than I would have had. I like the place. And if the lady wants to write a terrible review go for it. I'll just counter the bully and say the staff here are very nice and I enjoy the food very...

I'm new to the area, and this was my first attempt to order take out Chinese food. Overall the flavor was lackluster but not terrible. The orange chicken was not spicy, and didn't taste at all like orange chicken. I think it was plain sweet and sour sauce with way too much cornstarch; it had sort of a sticky snot consistency. The hot and sour soup also tasted bland, had very few mushrooms, and also had way too much cornstarch. It was thick and slimy with globs of burned cornstarch that felt like worms in your mouth. The soup was not at all edible. Everything else was edible, just not very good. Absolutely the very worst place I have ever picked up Chinese in the past 25 years. I do not know how this place remains open. I ordered the egg drop soup, how could that be messed up? But lousy taste. I ordered General Tso's Chicken. This dish was doughy not cooked all the way through and definitely not the General Tso's spicy flavor we all love. I can't begin to describe how horrible it tasted. It made me gag. The last item was the beef with broccoli, disgusting flavor if that is what you can call it. Threw it all away.
