Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Williamsburg

The owner, Shay, was on the floor greeting customers. His parents started the business and he still cares about his products and customers!! I've been eating here for years, it's as good today as it was 40 years ago. Don't know how he only charges $5.00 for the Big BBQ sandwich with Cole slaw but glad he was able to. You won't find a better lunch or dinner!!!! They also have smoked chicken and ribs and has a punch card when it's full, Free Sandwich!!!!! You really need to stop here to eat!! Trust me, I know!!

Ok, another update, just stopped to eat Again here and had JC special, I noticed a little difference with the bun! It seemed no different, but, food and service are still a 500! Bought BBQ and Slaw for cooler to take home, Again. Thank you for staying around for so many years. See you again soon.

It's January and I'm out of PIERCES BBQ, had to make a 130 mile each way trip for bbq, not just bbq but Pierce's BBQ! Noticed a sign that due to No help, they are closed every Tuesday now. So if you live near Pierce's BBQ and need some income, please go apply. They have benefits, vacation and you get to be part of a great team. Anyway, it was worth the 260 mile round trip for more Pierce's BBQ. Got several quarts because it freezes beautifully! Thank you Pierce's BBQ for hanging in there over 50 years! See you in about 2 months for more JC Specials!!

July 2022, stopped on way back from Virginia Beach for more fantastic Pierce's BBQ, as usual was outstanding! 50 stars for food, 50 stars for team associates and 50 stars for clean cool restaurant. Somehow you all serve this delicious BBQ every day!! Thank you for all your hard work and time!! We really do appreciate it and you!! See you soon!! December 2022 Stopped for a BBQ AND A BREAK and guess what, could hardly find a parking spot, it was wonderful to see all these folks enjoying a great BBQ and fries. If you haven't stopped by yet for a delicious sandwich, brisket, chicken or burger then you really haven't lived!! Start the new year right and pick up a quart of cold packed BBQ and some Cole slaw. Thank you Pierce's BBQ for another wonderful year!!! You all Rock!! May 2023, Nicole waited on us, outstanding service, fantastic food and great clean restaurant. August 2023, Another update, stopped in to get a JC SPECIAL, EXTRA BBQ, QUART OF BBQ, PINT OF COLE SLAW AND SEVERAL BOTTLES OF SAUCE!! I know I'm yelling, trying to get your attention!! Pierce's BBQ is still the best BBQ on the planet!! I've had BBQ all over the country, Pierce's BBQ is still the Best!!! Thank you Pierce's BBQ for hanging around all these years!! See you next trip!! June 2024 It's still as good as ever. They opened at 11:00 am and we were there for big BBQ sandwiches. I hope Pierces never closes. What a legacy this place has, open since 1971! My brother visited from Philly recently and said while he was here he wanted to make a trip up to Pierce's BBQ. He's lived in Philly for 15 years and it's been at least a decade since I've been to Pierce's myself. So I took a day off, which happened to be a Friday, and off to Williamsburg we went.

Upon arriving around 11:30am there was a short line outside the door, because of course there always it, however they were limiting the number of people in the building due to Covid protocols. Good sign. The wait wasn't log at all and within a couple of minutes we had moved into the main line inside the counter area. Social distancing was definitely being observed and we patiently waited our turn to approach the counter.

We each ordered a BBQ and Fries. Along with that we ordered hush puppies and a sandwich for to take back for Mom and my brother picked up some bottled sauces as well. While we waited for our order we filled our drinks and started looking for a table. Inside was at capacity so we looked outside and found a table in the shade right by where we parked. My brother took the drinks and occupied the table while I waited a couple more minutes for the meal. The wait was very short.

So not to repeat myself to much, but it had been years since I had visited here. The food smelled so good and once I took my seat at the table the food was out of the bag. I smothered my sandwich in their house BBQ sauce and took a bite. Oooh so good! The crinkle cut fries were also plentiful and complimented the BBQ sandwich perfectly. I was a little disappointed with the hush puppies. Not because of the taste, but the amount. The bag of hushpuppies only contains 8 of them now. There used to be at least twice as many. That means my brother and I had 4 each... Oh well, lesson learned. 2 bags of hushpuppies in the future. I washed my lunch down with fresh lemonade.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE: My review is based on SERVICE from Management NOT the food. So I am a school educator who is currently in Spring Break and a local of the area. I lliterally patronized this business almost everyday last week. I finally earned the "FREE JUMBO" sandwich as a result of my customer loyalty. I came in Friday afternoon to have lunch with the mindset of using my customer loyalty stamp card. I ordered a regular fries which came up to $5.07. I handed the blond hair teenage girl at the front my free JUMBO punch card. She told me I would have to purchase a sandwich in order to get the JUMBO sandwich "free".smh. However, the blond hair manager lady came over and clarified and told me I still owed .73 cents with a agitated look on her face. She stated the sandwich is taxed so technically the so called "FREE JUMBO SANDWHICH" is not free considering I still had to pay additional money. It was cold and rainy and a line of customers accumulating behind me. I literally had to go outside to get additional change cause I was short .10 cents. It left not only me confused but the girl who rung me up confused as well So in total I paid over $6 rather than $5.07 for the regular fries." This process held the line up by 5-10mins because the teenage lady had to go in and fix it. What made it so bad that same blond hair manager saw myself and son practically everyday the week before.. Personally, given the inconvenience caused today and the fact I have been a loyal customer the manager could've overided it. That's what any good manager would do for their loyal customer. TRULY BAD FOR BUSINESS. As a school educator who was on Springbreak at the time and just wanted to enjoy lunch and a single mother who solely provides for myself and son who still managed to patronize this business practically everyday I don't know if I am ever going to spend my hard working money here ever again based on the inconvenience caused today.
