Not my thing.
Came in with my wife and 2 year old girl. There was one guy waiting for Togo pizzas and a family sharing a pizza which looked good. I ordered sandwiches for my wife and myself and a kids ravioli for my daughter. When you get a kids meal they give away a free soda. Since I ordered a combo I sacrificed my soda to make a water cause who in their right mind gives babies soda?
We had to go find a high chair ourselves and move their chairs around the restaurant to get the baby situated. Food did come out pretty quickly so I'll give them that. But then, the cardinal sin comes out. They bring my sandwich first, then my wife's who had left to get a bib making the baby see food she's not allowed to eat and wait for her meal. That went over real well. Sorry if we disturbed anybody else in the place as our child lost her mind. The man did apologize to the baby and let her know she had to wait because ravioli takes longer to make the. Sandwiches......which of course a two year old doesn't understand that. Adults do though so take a guess what could've been done to have fixed that problem?
Anyway, then the gyro looked like no gyro I've ever seen anywhere. Sort of like a thin, miniature Americanized "close enough" version of one. Watery tzatziki sauce and all. My wife's meatball sub was strange too. Not in appearance, but texture. Both of our meats were watery and mushy, like they came out of a freezer box or something. When the kid's ravioli finally showed up they were hidden in a pool of red sauce. I joked with my wife and said "what are they hiding under there" so we investigated and found those round pre made ravioli's with the faux cheese in them you can buy from a restaurant depot or run of the mill grocery store. Same thing, watery and mushy. Boy those were awful.
We had been in the car for 4 hours coming back from North Carolina and saw this place online with high scores and positive reviews so we figured we'd give it a try. We shouldve realized that the last Yelp review was a year old and everything else was from 2014 and '13. New management maybe? Being a small business restaurant I don't want to hurt anybody over there but some of the things could've, and maybe next time, can be prevented. Customer service is key. Always prioritize children. Offer the high chair or point them out at least and get the kids meal done before anything else. That will prevent them from freaking out when they see food they can't have and it gives the parents a chance to start feeding their kids so they hopefully have that free hand to eat their food. Bringing the parents food first only means it will get colder faster when they finally get a chance to eat it. Consider offering at least a water for kids right off the back. Reviews give the pasta and pizza high praises so for the reader I would perhaps consider choosing those over the meat sandwiches.
In short, just not my thing....
Read moreI have NEVER had a issue with this store until lastnight. I order the same thing every time for years which is a sub and fries. I found a piece of plastic in my food lastnight and called the store to see about a refund but the store manager of whom I spoke with told me I was lying because they would never have plastic in there food(mistakes happen but it’s a pandemic going on here so I do not play about my food). I offered to come bring it to them WHILE I’m on the clock because the store closes at 9pm and I get off at 9pm. He said it was okay for me to bring it. I pulled up to the store before 9pm they cut off all the lights, locked the doors, ignored my calls, stared at me through the window and had the nerve to be rude to me not only last night but today as well when I called to discuss what happened when I pulled up lastnight . I just have to leave this here because I have never experienced any kind of behavior such as this from THIS store that I’ve been decided to for years! It blew my mind. Please, please get it together, I was treated unfairly! I love the food but I do not see myself returning...
Read moreThe food is ok. Nothing spectacular but the convenience of location for me is what brings me to pick up the phone, place the order, have delivered, in order to feed the family when I'm physically unable to cook. It certainly isn't because our order is ever right. And I mean ever. At one time I refused to patronize and boycotted for that and the attitude I received from the male manager/owner...but circumstances change and I found myself at the mercy of depending on restaurants in getting the family fed despite my health conditions. I've written it off as "Small Business" and/or "Mom n Pop" trying to make it as the reason for our orders never being correct. There have been times they have substituted, didn't bother calling or asking if ok, charging and sending substitutes with delivery. Not cool. Especially when people have food allergies. I'd keep it simple and clear when ordering and cross your fingers you get...
