We really wanted to like this place, have been here several times in the past, and boated 20 miles to get here - BUT when going there early on a Monday (430 pm) we stood around not sure whether to seat ourselves or not. After 10 min someone said we could sit wherever (there were open seats all over). We never got silverware and napkins, the waitress had NO business being one (didn't know what the special was because "the cook didn't tell me", couldn't offer a cocktail because she didn't know what one was, and served burnt food!). All my family was sick after eating three different burgers - two children sick before we left the restaurant! Broken lock on the men's bathroom door prevented its use and their ridiculous policy of only allowing the deck door to be used by 'staff' topped the cake. We will not ever eat here again and don't recommend that anyone does until they get it together. See the photo of the burnt sweet potato fries and burger on the left and second set of fries they brought...

So my wife and I love to experience the flavors of life! Smell the flowers as I call it! Well as Gumbo is to Louisiana, and BBQ is to Tx and Mahi mahi is to southern Florida. We find walleye dishes and spinach and artichoke is to Minnesota! So my wife and I make it a game. Who has the best S&A dip in MN. Well LV. So we bar hop on the lake and award the Landings S&A dip far superior! I ask.. Can you share the recipe?. (This was about 10 years ago). They said no! But we can share the ingredients!! Ha! They had no idea who they were talking to. I turned that into an award winner. Every year We treat our neighbors and friends with this dip for Christmas gifts now.

Well Now I think with new ownership I may need to share again. And I’m happy to do so. We love The Landing and we hope to make it up again this year.

If the landing wants a reshare....

My wife and I ate there today. We arrived minutes before the lunch crowd came in. I ordered a pizza. My wife got the walleye tacos with side salad. He restaurant got overwhelmed quickly with only one server and apparently short on kitchen help. Some tables waited for 20 minutes just to place their order or to get their drinks served. Even though we placed our order before the restaurant got busy it still took 30+ minutes to get our food. The waitress was so overwhelmed we sat 15 minutes before we could get her back at our table to tell her my wife ordered the side salad and got fries instead. She apologized and said she would have the kitchen send out the salad. We never got it. Food was just okay. Paid our bill and left wishing we had...

Just left The Landing. Second time in two weeks. Had Doug both times and he has knocked it out of the park both times. First time, we came not too long before closing and he didn’t rush us or give halfway service. Second time, remembered us and was equally as friendly and attentive. They were short-staffed the second time, and he was playing all positions like a champ. I’ve been coming here for 15 years, easily, and have not been disappointed. Thanks Landing!

We boated ~15m from Ludlow's on July 20, 2023. Arrived 12:30pm. They opened 11am. We enjoyed sitting outside until a dude started mowing grass ~1pm (see picture). It was very disruptive, so we went inside. Don't get the pizza. Just don't. The crust is store bought/manufactured, then they dump a whole bag of shredded mozzarella on top.

This is such a fun place whether you’re with a really big group or if you just want to go sit at the bar and watch a game. Famous for all of the different ways they make walleye, and for their giant red marquee on the backside of the building facing the lake. Definitely an upscale place in the area.
