The family wanted seafood and I didn’t want to go to a national chain and have heard good things about Tim’s at Lake Ann so we decided to take the 30 minute ride and give it a try. Didn’t know what to expect but overall it wasn’t bad and we would definitely try it again. The Good: Atmosphere was really nice, clean and bright, large dining area and plenty of room for small or large parties. Location was right on the water, so if you’re boating you can pull right up. Downstairs there were some extra shops, arcade and ice cream store. Food: Wife had 2lb crab legs (market price at $37) which she really liked. They were hot, cracked easy and crab meat was delicious. My daughter wanted Mussels (priced at $11 for about a dozen or so) which she enjoyed. The only complainants with their two meals were no sides, everything was priced separately. Now for the Bad: My food, I had the broiled seafood platter, which came with fish, shrimp, crab cake, mussels, hushpuppies and 2 sides ($27.00). On paper it sounded great and seemed like a nice portion of food, but on arrival, it was underwhelming. For the price point I expected bigger portions and honestly most of the dish tasted the same. The fish had no taste at all, they over used the pepper. The best part of my meal was the coleslaw. Server: She wasn’t rude but just no personality, no smile, and just all business. She greeted us right away, took our drink order and when she came back she was ready for our order. Since this was our first time, we asked about specials, she flip a menu over and showed us the specials and she she’d be back. She came back after checking on another table and took our order. During the time we sat there, she check on us once or twice, but got busy with other tables, lucky another server came by, picked up our dirty dishes and refilled our drinks without asking, so that was great. We will defiantly give it another try, the seemed to have a lot to offer and different specials every day of the week.

7 o'clock on a hot summer Friday is when we arrived. Immediately greeted and given an electronic device to hold after being told there will be a 30 some minute wait. After 5ish minutes we were alerted with the hand held thing that was blinking red and were taken to our table for the 3 of us. The outside dining was closed due to the heat. Table was ready as well as several other ones around us. There is plenty of staff working and all were busy. Apparently form fitting black pants are the dress code. I wouldn't feel comfortable working like that amongst a public that is drinking but then again I'm a 50 year old man. The ambience was lake oriented with lots of items on display. Lots of alcohol displays too. Noise level is loud, like unable to speak in normal tones and be able to hear across the table. Waitress immediately greeted us and got the drink order and asked if we were ready to order. We quickly received our drinks and we asked for a bit more time before ordering. Once ordered the food arrived within a very reasonable time. Fried clams were the best ever eaten. Fried oysters were awesome also. Potato salad was a solid traditional preparation. Baked beans have a heavy smoked flavor, they were fine. Seafood pasta was amazing. Absolutely loaded with crab, shrimp and scallops. Garlic bread was disappointing in comparison with the other food. Hush puppies were decent enough. Fried cod was cooked well with a tasty crust. Portion size was a bit on the larger size with the pasta being too much. We declined a dessert. Server was perfect. It was entertaining to watch the confusion over the shared gender restroom. View of the lake was good. Deck dining would be fun. We will definitely be back!

We, as a family were very excited to finally drive 45 minutes to this establishment to try the crabs. Look so good in pictures. We didnt have to wait for a seat, but we had to wait for a waitress for quite a bit. When she got to our table she seemed very distracted, no eye contact and was unwilling to explain things since it was our first time. She was in a rush and seemed to get frustrated with us because we had questions. We received our drinks quickly but she disappeared for quite awhile again. I understand there are other people she had to wait on so this was understandable. My grandchildren ordered the all u can eat crabs. They were very tiny and no meat. So kids got frustrated and gave up, left still hungry. We had 6 left over and they refused to let us take them. I understand if it was 15 or 20 but we paid quite a bit of money, $35.00 per person age range 2 14 years old, for them to refuse 6 crabs. I ordered the fried platter; it was ok but had no flavor, very bland. I thought it might be me but the kids wouldnt eat it said it tasted like nothing. 12 year old got the seafood pasta, nothing special to that also. For $29.99 it should have been filled with seafood. 6 pieces of seafood with a heaping bowl of alfredo sauce and noodles. We sat there trying to enjoy what we did have, we were completely eaten up by flies. I said multiple times to the staff that the flies were eating us up and they just said its because of the door keeps opening. This was indoor seating, we were not outside on the deck. My opinion if some one brings up a issue, try to resolve, a group of 4 waitresses just stood there and watched me. I, as a grandparent literally took napkins and killed about 9 flies myself so my grandchildren could enjoy some part of this experience. I will have to say this was not the best experience. Good luck in the future but we will...
