Sandwiches are made quick, and that's good. But I have visited this Wawa since it opened... the sandwich quality has taken a nosedive in the last few weeks/months. Maybe staff turnover?
I get the same fairly simple sandwich every time I go. But often, the bread is partially smashed, edges are soaked or folded. Like part of the sandwich was squished into itself. The tomato cuts are frequently including the (hard chewy) caps of the tomato. Often the lettuce is half out of the sandwich, and wilted or brown, and the other toppings only coat the brown paper meant to keep the sandwich from leaking, instead of inside the sandwich. I think it's how they cut the bread... it's turning into a bad subway, where the knife is pretty clearly dull and the bread is basically torn open by hand. I ate it. But it's unappealing and makes a big mess. Today was the last resort, after the last couple sandwiches have been like this, I'm finding a new place to go. Maybe Santini's. Or I'll just make my own...
Read moreThe ladies that make te sandwiches are very rude. I'm a customer smiling and being nice and one of the ladies act like she hates her job so much that she scared me away with her annoyed look and then screaming a number aggressively for a customer and then threw the bag on the counter. I'm offended by this because all I did was smile and almost got ready to order. She made me NOT want to get food from there. If your sandwich ladies hate their job they should quit because to be honest I don't want an angry person full of hate making my food. I will never purchase anything from the counter unless I see a smile or just a positive attitude. The ladies MUST change their attitudes because they can easily make customers not want to go there anymore. I didn't even buy food there because she defiantly looked upset that I was there and that she might had to make something for me. My thoughts are "I am sorry that I was going to order food... Did not mean to bother you. Just thought this...

The employee then pointed to the bottles and asked which one. Another employee came over and the two of them tried to figure it out. I could not see the labels from over the counter. They then called the manager over and he pointed to the correct bottle and walked away. They then stood around and tried to figure out what to do next. (I was the only person waiting....so, this was not due to being busy). I finally....after 7 minutes gave up and asked for a refund. One of the employees came up to the register and yelled “she was making it right”. Apparently not, or it would have been done. Training is needed. The manager should have stayed there and given employee instructions. I do not want my coffee by trial and error. Simple...
