Shack 512 — Restaurant in Volente

I should have reduced half a star because the path from the parking lot to the restaurant, where you have to walk down the stairs, is not very clean and it is quite clear that no one clean them . It is full of dirt, dirty, rusted fences, lifeless and thirsty plants, the lights in The road is broken and damaged for a long time. But as soon as you get closer to the restaurant, it gets a new color and spirit, everything gets better and better and cozy. When you enter the restaurant, the faded and relatively old wooden tables and chairs will shock you again, but behind the table and chairs The relatively ugly scenery of the beautiful lake again gives a new color and spirit to the restaurant and the atmosphere. Especially the restaurant is at a higher height than the lake and you have a wide view of the view. It is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the waiters of this restaurant are as expected not active , they visit their customers less than normal and I think they are more busy serving themselves ! There was room for me to reduce another half star, but maybe it's not fair to judge for the first time. The waiter was nice but first thing we got told was there was no brunch available (sounds lazy to me and I work in food service) we were looking forward to trying the chicken and waffles and the fact that we got there around 11:45 so they just had OPENED?!???!!! I got the chicken sandwich (which was fine) but my partner got the crusted Parmesan Alfredo penne.. it was so horrible! The sauce was running, had jalapeños in it?? Like what?!?! The chicken fell out of the “crust” part breading if you will, dry chicken, very bland sauce. My partner didn’t even finish half of the food because it was that bad! Took about maybe 3 bites and called it. Also ordered the grilled chicken with baby potatoes (those potatoes were great!!) but the chicken was very dry and almost chewy like. Not worth the money! Go somewhere else. Very disappointed! The view was great. I told the waiter about how horrible the food was and he didn’t even offer a refund for the pasta and just told me that he told the cook about the “mistake” I would like my money back for the terrible food that was served. Please take money elsewhere. Maybe the other food is good but definitely no pasta from here ever again! No more chicken especially if the cook doesn’t know how to cook chicken. Great location, view and atmosphere. Service is severely lacking. Our waiter was very friendly, but we asked multiple times if water could be brought to our table, even asked the manager, and water was not brought out to us ever in the 2 hours that we were there. We didn't even order any food, only went for drinks and dessert. We could hear the table next to us complaining that the server had not brought out their food properly and hardly returned to the table the whole time they were there. Our friends that'd been there a couple days before mentioned that this was representative of the service they received as well. And the place was not busy at all. Additionally, the s'mores dessert at $12 is pretty misleading. Says it serves 4 people, but realistically only serves 2 at most. It was a platter of build your own s'mores that just looks like someone ran to the local gas station, grabbed mediocre ingredients, and stuck them all on a cutting board. The Graham crackers were stale... Probably won't go back.
