Valley Restaurant and Catering — Restaurant in Volga Township

Valley Restaurant is such a hidden gem. Yes they serve biscuits & gravy, country fried steak, homemade pies, and the usual South Dakota fare. And it goes without saying they do those things well. But they also have kombucha on tap! If you don't drink and mocktails aren't exactly your thing, what a pleasant surprise to see someone offering a healthy beverage.

The server was really friendly and the cook peeked over at my table to make sure I was eating my meal. Just a really positive experience overall. I'll be going back here next time I'm traveling...

Food was superb. Prime rib was amazing. Sides were amazing. The salad was fresh and tasty. Service was amazing. Our waitress was friendly, personable, and very attentive. Volga is a small town. This small town has a wonderful small business in t his cozy restaurant. Oh... and the pie 🥧 is amazing. Crust is flaky. Variety is endless. They are just delicious! And half price on Tuesday! You must go for any meal, you won't...

Did someone say pie?!? Not many restaurants serve baked pie from scratch - but Valley does - and they serve a variety every day. So, when you have a craving for some tasty comfort food - head to the Valley (and if you are too full from the meal you can always take the pie to go!). (And yes, service can be slow at times - but they are obviously doing their best during these times - be patient and treat all service workers...
