The Library II review: This is meant as a public service announcement and not to bash, but it is negative. 🤢It was the worst experience we ever had at any restaurant ever 😣
*Steaks were very pricey, average cost 60$, but they were not flavored or tasty nor did they even taste aged or marinated. Extra $10 for muchrooms or onions or any side.
*One 65$ fillet was very well done when ordered Medium Rare, the waitress seemed annoyed and sort of bullied the person not to send it back. 🤨
☄️My 32 once 89$ ☄️Tomahawk steak came all cut up in very small pieces off the bone and was horrible. 💔We think this Tomahawk was a few steaks they may have cut up and put on the plate and added a bone to the plate. It wasn’t 32 once’s and it wasn’t flavored at all and tasted terrible. And it was rare not Medium rare as ordered. 😣
I didn’t complain, I was too shocked that we splurged on something and for it to be so disappointing and all small raw pieces. Never seen a Tomahawk served cut up and off the bone! Crazy! Worst steak I have ever had, ever! 🤢
*I was told that I was not allowed to pack the little bit of my leftover salad in the To Go box w my steak. My 89$ steak! Or the manger would come out. (Mind you it was left over not a new plate)🤯🤯🤯
*We had a 100$ gift certificate that they refused to honor. 😟 The manger didn’t speak English, all he ket saying was “I don’t know”. “No no”. The waitress said that, because they changed owners they no longer accept any gift cards unless we have the original receipt. ( who has the receipt if it’s a gift) This is actually illigal and they are breaking the law. But who has time for this on a nice evening out. So we just paid the bill. 🙄
Management didn’t comp us anything for our troubles and no apology, they told us to go home and look the receipt and come back next time.
*The meal was over 500 for the table, but to spite that, the waitress refused to bring me a to go box for my 89$ steak because she thought I might pack my few bites of salad that i didn’t let her remove from the table. We had to request To Go boxes 4 times.
☄️☄️The check comes and there was a 20$ service charge to use our credit card!!
*And again no apology for not being able to use the gift card, or the steaks not being cooked to order. The entire table was thourough discussed with out treatment.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I have never paid so much to be treated so poorly.
*We don’t mind splurging on a good meal and good steak. But they tasted awful, there was no presentation, cooked terribly and then to be nickel and dimes on 10 dollar sides and a argued with about a To Go Box, and a credit card processing fee, and couldn’t use the gist card, we felt robbed completely. Robbed not of just the cost of a terrible meal but robbed of the whole joy of the experience.
*Note, we have paid 60$ for a good steak other places often and it melts in your mouth and the waiters take good care of you and you feel like the experience is worth it.
*I have never left a bad review of any local buisness ever but people should know, this place has a lot kinks to work out.
The new owners kept the name but not the quality and apparently don’t care if anyone ever comes back. We intend on contacting the owner even though they refused to give us his contact information before we left and there is no contact for them on the website.
*I hope they work this stuff out but I’m sad about not being able to go back there. It’s used to be a...
Read moreI wish I was the only one with a bad experience here this Mother’s Day, but I’m sure that’s not the case. Overpriced food, and random surcharge added without knowledge to the bill by using a card! Had a reservation for 5pm, received a call over the weekend to ask if we can move to 530- sure no problem! I even confirmed this morning to be sure all was OK and they assured me we were set. We get there at 530 and are not seated until 725pm. Each time I would go up and ask about the timeframe it would be, I get told by what I later find out is the owner that it will only be a little longer- “they’re trying to hurry the table up”. That was just an hour into my wait. Around 630, the same gentlemen offered drinks and a round for my party- I declined but he insisted that we were to be compensated for drinks when we sit down and deserts, among some other things he’ll “throw in”. Ok great- thanks. Being in the service and restaurant industry, I know holidays are madness; reservations are crazy, but there is no reason to overbook where you have guests waiting for over 20 minutes, let alone 2 hours. I had 4 little ones -‘s if they would have just told me the truth about the length of time, I would have just left and went elsewhere. The table we were waiting on clearly was seated shortly before our original reservation time and they only had two tables for large parties over 9, so planning the floor layout was terrible. Food comes out over an hour after we sit down, and half items and sides were not reviewed bc they ran out and we were not told until the dinners came and we had to mention it. Appetizers came out after all dinners were finished, etc. then the Bill comes (which by the way no manager or owner coming over to check up on us through the meal- not a way to handle a party you know had issues before seating ) and no compensation happened. When I mentioned to the server who was understandably overworked with the chaos of the day (as were all the others- left to pick up pieces of the poor management), and made sure to speak word for word what the owner said, the other manager on staff only took of 3 desserts from an overpriced $700 bill. I later overheard from Another server with couples in the same predicament that they overbooked by 70 reservations after being told they could not logistically fit that many. And the management said they wanted to be sure no cancellations affected their revenue flow. I had enough. I am by no means one to cause any issues and hate complaining, and was sure to let the server know it was in no way her fault, but it was an absolute terrible night. We finally left at 10pm and by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in awhile (and most certainly not due to anything Covid-related). This management and owner team needs to get their act together and hope that’s no other holiday crowd experiences that poor quality...
Read moreI have been here twice now with my boyfriend and both times were underwhelming and we probably won’t be back. The first time was okay the Sunday night special, steak was cooked well but had no seasoning. Sides were meh, nothing really exciting.
The Salad bar is fantastic and we love that it’s included in the entrees. The different fresh breads are really good and I like the whipped butter, makes it easy to spread.
We also both got a filet with a crabcake on top. The server Ashley brought out our steaks and they had crab meat not crab cakes. She asked if it was okay and that the cooks messed up. My boyfriend was fine with it but I asked if she could just bring out a crabcake on the side then. She said they would charge extra. I told her politely it’s not what I ordered that you brought out, why charge extra if it’s the cooks fault and they are trying to make it right. She said she probably put the ticket in wrong and seemed embarrassed . I did not want to argue with a waitress on a night out with my boyfriend and said sure take my steak back. They took it back, and I they scraped off the crab meat and brought it out with a crabcake on top. I know it was the same steak because the seasoned butter I ordered, which was also an extra cost, was half melted . For fine dining prices this is not a fine dining experience. I feel most restaurants would have just brought me a crabcake on the side. This is the kind of service I would expect at an applebees, not a place I am spending hundreds of dollars.
I also was disappointed at the dress of the other patrons. I’m not saying everyone else has to be in a tux and evening gown but it ruins the romantic atmosphere when the table next to us has people in sweatshirts and athletic shorts. It says on the front proper attire required but I guess they don’t enforce it. Once again fine dining prices but not a fine dining experience.
The bacon wrapped scallops were bacon wrapped scallops. I was suprised there was only 3 and two of the scallops were rather small. My boyfriend and I actually laughed at the plate they set down after they walked away. For the price points you would expect more. I have no problem paying money for good food and a good experience but I want it to be worth it. The steak was cooked to our preference and it was good because it’s filet but even with the upcharged seasoned butter it really lacked in seasoning and flavour. We tried pouring the sauce on it but it was still lackluster for us, so if you have a more simple taste you might like it.
We won’t be coming back anytime soon in the future but maybe if they start to enforce their dress codes and get back into real fine dining we would...
