Maggie Jos Diner — Restaurant in Wadley

The food was good. We got hamburgers fries and onion rings. The place was packed. We walked in, and they told us to sit where we wanted. We did. No one brought a menu. After several minutes, I got up and got 2. We decided what we wanted and put the menus down on the table. No one came. They were waiting on people who came in after us. We sat quietly waiting. Watching as the girls stood behind the counter, talking and looking around at the customers, running over to refill drinks and such. I caught ones eyes. But still they didn't come. We had nothing on our table to drink, so I thought they would notice. This went on about 15 or so minutes. One girl leaned around the corner of the kitchen, so I walked up and asked, Could we please at least place an order? She said yes, ma'am. She came out took our other but still didn't bring our drinks. She waited on 4 others and was standing behind the counter talking to the other waitress. The other waitress walked off, and she was still standing there. I was looking at her, and it looked like a light came on, and she grabbed the drinks and brought them over. The food came shortly. We just arrived in time tonight before they had to close early because of running out of food. While we were finishing up our food several customers came in and they understood why they had to close. there was a couple of teenagers that came in and were very ugly and “shot birds” at the staff and gave a bad review.
