Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Waggaman

Everything that I ordered was fresh and delicious. Thank you, workers, for a pleasurable dining experience. Well, all the positive comments I said above are negated by the action of the general manager. Today, I went to get me my Popeyes order that I always get, which is blackened tenders with coleslaw and cajun rice. I normally spend like $15 or $16 on my meal alone. Today, I had a coupon for two can dine for $10.99, and I went to use the coupon, and the general manager says you can't get the blackened tenders with this coupon. Now, I'm not one to argue, but this manager has checked me out multiple times, and I have used this coupon multiple times. She, of course, didn't remember our encounter and denied that she has done this, but I have receipts, literally. Nowhere on the coupon does it say you can't get blackened tenders. It just says signature chicken or tenders, classic or spicy. When I was walking out, she said a comment about its just a coupon, sir, but she was condescending about the situation. Look, we can all agree that the price of food is astronomical, and minimal wage has not caught up to inflation. I'm trying to save Dat money anyway I can. I'm so disappointed in this Popeyes because it is always something with this store location. Last week, my coworker and I walked out because they had a line, and I witnessed a worker take a piece of chicken out of the big basket that they keep under the heat light and eat a bite because they mixed up the mild and spicy. Has to be one of the worst un fast food restaurants ever! Took several long minutes to even reach the speaker where they take your order. Then after waiting several minutes I was finally asked what my order was and in the middle of giving it I was told to hold on a minute and then waited another five minutes before giving my order. After giving my order and pulling around to the back me and my son were treated to a contact high because employees were in that back area smoking weed coughing and chatting. After receiving food 30 minutes after ordering of course everything was screwed up. Chicken sandwich overcooked my tenders not spicy but regular. forgot to give napkins, condiments, sporks for eating our sides. I ordered for jalapenos and of course they forgot those so I went inside to get them. After waiting a couple minutes an employee came out with a huge bag with maybe 30 Jalapenos in it. SMH what am I going to do with 30 jalapenos? This store needs to be immediately...

For the first time in a year (I avoided due to not recieving most of my order and i had to contact corporate to get my refund) I went amd walked to popeyes I was told by who I can only assume to be a manager that only Doordash and staff are allowed inside and this would've been fine if I could at least place an order, I live in walking distance so I walked there, and if I could've placed an order at the drive thru on foot I would've. Being entirely honest you're better off going to the Popeyes in westwego. The quality of the food is better and if you're going to have to be in a car might as well get better food that doesn't taste like dirty grease if you're walking like I was just go to the brothers next door.
