We were traveling through Wahpeton back to MN and found El Toro. We are so glad we stopped! The restaurant itself is quaint and brightly decorated. The service was so unbelievably fast and friendly. And our foodā€¦ simply amazing! The complimentary chips and salsa were some of the best weā€™ve ever had. We couldnā€™t believe how many selections to choose from on the menu and so reasonably priced. We had chicken chimichangas, beef taquitos, tamale and carne asada. This was some of the best Mexican food weā€™ve ever had! We will definitely stop when we travel through again.

We had fajitas & enchiladas, they were both very good. They were busy on a Saturday afternoon when we went, but there was no wait. The food came out fast for everyone at our table. Complimentary chips & salsa was good. My bf eats here pretty regularly and says his food has always been good. This was my first time and I'd go back.

Awesome for vegans and vegetarian. I ordered burrito which was amazing. My siblings ordered fried ice cream and gluten free Burrito(yes they make one too). Loved their sauce and I told them to make it extra spicy.

Was ok , without many options at close to 8pm in town .. service was good .. waiter was friendly...nice atmosphere.. unfortunately the food fell short...not bad ..just bland .. unfortunately I prefer my Mexican to have authentic flavors... I ordered camerones diabla.. was ok but definitely not spicy.. the rice had zero flavor and the beans the same like cheap watery ones from a can ... I gave 3 stars ..because the service was good and friendly and the atmosphere.. and that to me matters as well ... and it was still better...

We sat down for lunch and got all of our food within 5 mins. Plates were nice and hot coming out.

I had the lunch beef enchilada special and my boyfriend had the chimichanga. They were both really good. Rice was tasty, I'd probably skip on the beans next time and go for maybe a taquito. They had fresh chips and salsa for the table that was extremely good. Probs the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant and they served the perfect amount of food. Definitely...
