This Taco John's has been so completely horrifically terrible to me it has inspired me to write my first review. So everyone buckle up for one whole entire horror story including complaining about how terrible this establishment has been to me.
First of all- I ordered two 6 pack and a pounds. Which I will admit, was incredible. Until later when I spent 30 minutes in the bathroom. At which point I decided to check up on my bank account and do some snooping. It was at that point that I realized I had got charged twice for this order! When you are in your early twenties, $30 is a lot. Especially when it shows up in your account twice!
So my thought was why not call? I'm sure it was a mistake. After calling (and working with a very helpful employee! If I could distribute the stars, that singular one would go to that employee) I was assured that the pending charge WOULD NOT go through my account.
Now we all know if that was the end of the story I would not be writing this review. The charge still went through my account so I called again two days later, and talked with a different employee, that essentially called me a liar. Now trust me, my nose is not growing today. The charge went through twice. I'm not a thief, but I'm definitely poor enough to be persistent in what is owed to me. The employee told me the manager would call me an hour later to talk.
Two long hours went by with me having many talks with Jesus asking for strength to not drive there personally and start causing some ruckus. That I decided to call again and ask for the manager directly. noW GET THIS..
it must have been one for the first times this dude has used a phone and didn't realize that if you dont cover the speaker, the person on tHE OTHER END CAN HEAR YOU. HE WAS FILLING IN SAID MANAGER ABOUT ME AND HOW I'M A LIAR AND I HEAR THE MANAGER SAY THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DEAL WITH IT RIGHT NOW AND TELL ME ITS LUNCH RUSH LMAOOOOOO.
At this point folks, I've had it. I hung up on homeboy before he could even finish his "we're super busy right now" speech. However, before I hung up I was promised a phone call at 2.
4:00 rolls around with still no contact.. NOW WHEN I TELL YOU THIS WAS THE TIPPING POINT, THE BOILING POINT, THE MAKE MIKAYLA WRITE A REVIEW OF THIS S**THOLE POINT- I had to call HER again AT FOUR- for the 4th time I may add. My best guess is the rush from earlier still wasn't over, you and I both know how a lunch rush at TJ's on a Tuesday afternoon in Wapheton can be.
She tells me it wont go through my account. Although it. already. went. through. my. account. (That's why I'm calling home girl!!!!!) But with yet another reliable promise, I will get an email from Amanda to tell me everything will be ok.. (not sure who Amanda is, maybe she's THE Taco John?? ...will investigate).
Anyway, here I wait... for Amanda... for a trusted email...for my money back...
Will this get resolved? Will it result in calling corporate for my $30? Trust me Wapheton Taco John's- there is no end to my pettiness. This isn't over until I get my money back.
**Update- Still not sure who Amanda is, but she must have ties to Mr. Taco John. She and Lauren got me my money back. Lauren deserves a raise or at least a pat on the back because she was incredible in helping me. As for my petty post? I'm keeping it up solely because it took a lot of time to type. Read moreMy girlfriend and I ordered a 6 pack and a pound, right away the girl taking our order was rude and quite impatient. She had asked if we wanted soft or hard so my girlfriend and I were tossing the idea of half and half like we usually get when not even 2 seconds later she bursts out, "DO YOU WANT SOFT SHELL OR HARD!". I was getting annoyed so I just told my girlfriend to get hard shell. After that she asked in a rude tone of voice, "Is that all". My girlfriend just asked if we can get the oles into a large and she seemed even more annoyed to do her job. She said, "Is that it" and my girlfriend said "just hot sauce and mild sauce and that will do it". Upon arriving to the window she got snappy because her coworker handed us the wrong change and he was obviously new, to wrap up this review like an under-cooked TJS burrito. Our food was all cold, the service was horrible, and she gave us one mild sauce and one hot sauce exactly for a 6 pack and a pound. I don't usually go out of my way to write a review, but when you work at a place that's centered around customer service you'd think they would treat their customers like they pay their salaries, cause they do, let alone actually try to teach their employees how to do their jobs without making them feel dumb. Read moreI usually let bad experiences with places go but today's experience was so awful I had to mention it. I keep coming back in hopes that they redeem themselves because the other Taco John's I've visited have been amazing, but this Wahpeton restaurant is just downright sad; each and every time. I spent 40 minutes in the drive thru today. When I got to the window, the employee stated it was because they were "waiting for potatoes." (Which by the way had 0 flavor.) I had ordered a six pack and a pound for my children to share. I have never seen such sad tacos in my life. I could combine 2 tacos to make 1 normal taco. Other Taco John locations do not skimp on the meat, but this restaurant is definitely pinching those pennies and ripping every customer off. Not worth the time or the money. They then proceeded to mess up my order and I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to fix it. I recommend no one visit...
