Rita's Cafe — Restaurant in Walden

Was passing through Walden a couple months back and stopped by because the info we had stated the place was open at that time. “Closed!” We were looking on here, Google Maps, today and noticed the hours were updated a couple of weeks ago and they were supposed to be open today, Sunday, from 6AM - 7PM. So we got in the car, drove 46 miles(92 miles round trip) to check it out, because we are familiar with Rita’s cooking from when she worked at Wycolo. Arrived at 1:45 PM to find the place closed again. In conclusion, we will not be making the trip again to support this business. If the person maintaining the online info can’t get it right, then I wonder how the actual business can do the same. Agree with the last reviewer. I don’t think this place will...

The best bowl of green (chili) I have had in years. A perfect breakfast burrito. On point huevos rancheros. Excellent coffee. A cute location, clean and friendly service, and outdoor seating with a view set back from the road beside the ranger station.
