Worst service I've ever had. I don't typically write reviews for fast food restaurants but felt compelled to do so after this trip.
My family and I visited during lunch rush, which I know can be a challenge for any restaurant. But of the 14 people who were in line behind us, every one of them got their order before us. Many people who were in front of us received incorrect orders and when staff tried to remedy, they still didn't get it right after two tries. When we received our order, we received our kids meal first but it was incorrect. They gave us fries instead of apple slices. So we went back up to exchange and waited another 5 mins just for that. My husband and me didn't get our food for another 10 mins. and was missing a box of chicken nuggets. The line was completely empty by this point so you'd think they'd be able to get the order right. All we ordered was a kids meal, a burger combo and the 4 items for $4. An average size order.
The tables were filthy with greasy prints all over. The ketchup pumps were not active. There was a brand new pump package of ketchup in 1 of the 2 pumps, but it wasn't installed. So I had to ask for ketchup packets (which is no big deal) but I had to wait 5 mins for someone to ask and when I got then, there was dried ketchup all over each packet. I guess a packet exploded inside the box they came from.
When I sat back down, I sipped on my soda to find it was nothing but carbonated water. Again another 5 mins at counter.
I'm giving 2 stars because despite the insanity, the staff was polite - not necessarily helpful, but kind. But 'fast food' was not an accurate description for this particular Wendy's. We were there for over an hour. It was such a disappointing visit. Nearly every person we saw who was eating here this afternoon was upset with their service.
There was also no diaper changing table in the bathrooms which always makes traveling with...
Read moreOver the past year I've tried this Wendy's location and every time it's been a big disappointment. My 1st visit there it wasn't that busy there was 3 customers ahead of me already had placed there order it took almost 8 min to have my order taken so I just ordered the 4 for 4 I was in a rush I drive tractor trailer and I really didn't want nothing from the truck stop. The crew was taking their time and doing more socializing than working me and the other customers are looking at each other like what the hell is happening here. I want to say it was sat it was about 10 min after I ordered I finally got my food it felt even longer. So I was starving so on my way out I grabbed the burger a took a bite I was disgusting I dropped in the parking lot and kept moving the fries and nuggets were ok but not fresh for the time I wasted. 2nd visit months later same Service with 1 person ahead of me all staff just talking after 3 min I just walked out. 3rd visit months later same thing I was only me there and when I finally said something they looked at .e like I committed a crime and said it going to be 15 min because they're in the middle of switching from breakfast to lunch so I walked out. My last visit about a week ago Service was a little better but food quality was awful I had a Dave's single combo meal the meat was barely warm and the bun was cold and hard my fries were soggy and most flavors I like on the drink machine was out. So over a year I've given this place 4 tries with nothing good to say. I worked for Wendy's 4 yrs in the 80's and I've ate at plenty of locations all over Florida thru the years but this place is the...
Read moreRarely do I give one star reviews. This experience was my worst at Wendy’s at least in 15 years. Here’s why:
Service was painfully slow. I left and went to the gas station next door when the line slowed down— but it still look a long time to get through the drive thru with just one car ahead. If this had been the only problem, I would not leave a bad review because I know many businesses are having staff shortages. I also could hear the clerk saying “ughh” under her breath while taking the order.
The total at the drive-thru was different than at the window- and they didn’t tell me. Instead, I was shortchanged and given a sandwich I didn’t order. The clerk asked me what I ordered, I repeated it and she started to argue but refrained, realizing I did not order the grilled chicken sandwich. She then asked for the chicken sandwich back and slammed the window while she prepared a refund.
There was no apology. The icing on the cake was when our entire order came out cold. My grandmother who was with me asked me to feel her burger bun and it felt like it had just come out of a cooler. The nuggets were sticking together and nearly inedible.
Thanks to this experience, I will now check reviews even before visiting fast food places in random towns— at least for Wendy’s. This type of experience tarnishes a brand, particularly one that proclaims “quality is...
