I was a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews I had been seeing, but I have no idea what they were talking about. We had a short wait on a Saturday at 5:00. We were seated by a friendly hostess/waitress. Our server was Charity, who was great. Our drink orders were taken and delivered in record time. Our food came out at good intervals. Everything was served at proper temperatures. All our food was incredibly delicious. The seafood chowder was so good, with scallops, shrimp, pieces of fish, and nicely sized chunks of potatoes. Our salads were crisp and fresh. The bread with whipped butter was very nice. We each got the prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy. My Queen cut was just a bit thinner than the King. The meat was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and melt in the mouth tender. The mashed potatoes and gravy were the perfect accompaniment. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely two...
Read moreOver priced roadside shack had a long wait for my food considering the small amount of business, then when I get my food the clamboat that I paid good money for had only 2 clams with the belly and the rest were bits and pieces of what they must of had at the end of the bucket they store them in and they were half cooked at best, The burger dinner was very dry and cold we got, when I called to make them aware of there mistakes I was told to leave my number and the owner would call me when they get back, Alot of good that did me almost 50 bucks in the hole and gross food still have not heard back from anyone, needless to say I won't be back and of all my reviews I'm going to list this place as the 2nd worst places to eat and wouldn't recommend it as a place for a good meal at a good price way over priced and the quality is ...
Read moreWe both got the French onion soup which was absolutely delicious. Hubby got fried pickles. I usually don't like them cause most places the pickles are crispy and they are greasy. These are sooo good. Pickles are VERY crispy and not greasy at all. I ate half of them. Generous portion. Both of us got the prime rib rare. You get a salad and choice of of side. We both got a bake potato. The salad was delicious and fresh. The potato was great with whipped butter and sour cream. Can't stand getting little butter packets that are hard as a brick. So the whipped butter was a joy! Both of our rare prime rib dinners were excellent. Au jus was great. We did cheat and brought some horseradish sauce in with us since they don't offer it. Oh my gosh best non seafood dishes we have had!!!! We would recommend Bullwinkle's to everyone. Another note every wait staff was very efficient...
