Ironwood Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Walker

My wife and I went to the Ironwood Bar and Grill Friday night with two other couples. Service was great. The young waitress was very attentive to our table. My wife ordered the sirloin steak which was gristly and tough to cut with the serrated knife she was given. She could barely eat a small portion of the meat without fear of choking on it. When she advised the waitress, the waitress notified the manager. The manager was working behind the bar at the time and said she was busy but would try to come over to our table later. When our waitress checked back again and the manager still hadn't come to our table, the waitress asked her again. When the manager finally came to our table a half hour later, she appeared to be very grumpy. When my wife told her it was the worst steak she ever had, the manager said, "Well, you ate some of it didn't you?" Then she took the plate of food to the chef. When she came back she advised she would take half the charge for the steak off the bill. Ironwood is supposed to be run by the same folks who own Champs in Coopersville. We love Champs and thought we would have the same experience at Ironwood. BIG disappointment. We won't...

Service: great! We were helped quickly and the burgers arrived faster than I can remember in any other restaurant! Our server knew our needs before we asked. Excellence.

Bacon Cheeseburger: My favorite. Made well and juicy.

Double Cheeseburger: Okay. Nothing special, but nothing bad.

Quesadilla Burger: I like tacos and burgers, but I wasn't much for this. The lettuce and sauce with a flimsy tortilla to hold it in. I don't recommend it, but maybe others would like it.

Iron Fries: I could eat these all day! They served it with a wonderful cheese sauce. I had the chips and fries, too, but they were nothing to write home about. GET THE IRON FRIES! SO WORTH IT!

It will be a long time before I will order from here’s again. What was previously very good service has turned poor. My son placed an online order for an IBG burger options none, well, ketchup and pickle. These are very clear for nothing but burger, bun, ketchup and pickle. This was a treat for the first time after my husband passed away unexpectedly that my son and I enjoyed a takeout meal. We opened the burger when we got home and it had cheese and Canadian bacon as well as pickle and ketchup. We called and explained the order was wrong and told to bring it back. When my son brought the burger back he was told that the order was not clear enough. I called and spoke with Brandon who denied this and was defensive. This is not the service we are accustomed to...
