Our first time checking out this location. We have been to the owners other place in Spring Lake, equally as delicious. Big plus for this location is that it is much larger and has a parking lot. The food was as delicious as we knew it would be. They are a few steps above what you imagine a diner in New Jersey to be. The menu is thoughtful, very fresh ingredients, made to order, and every little detail shows in the chef's presentation that he or she cares what they put out. I had the avocado benedict today and the eggs were perfection! Everything about the dish spoke fresh, and love was put into it. I enjoyed it so much I think it may be my new favorite breakfast item. My hunny had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast but nothing ordinary about it. Just a little something extra seemed to come into play. Eggs were so fluffy and YUMMY, the potatoes are to die for. Our waitress today was Ashley, lovely girl, smiling, knowledgeable, right there at the right time. Staff is well trained, and seem to really like their job! No lack of friendly people here which is a nice way to start the day. I looked around the restaurant and every person was on top of their game. Coffee is strong but very good. Can't wait to come back for lunch and dinner. The place is very clean, food is absolutely fresh and tasty. Will be a great place for us even when the summer comes as they have ample room for people. Best of luck to the owners and staff. a welcome "great" place to eat and spend time with family and friends. UPDATE!!! We want back the very next for lunch and it was just as great as breakfast. Savannah our waitress this time, she was just as sweet as Ashley. Louie, the owner should be most proud of his solid wait staff and back workers like Azu. (She busses the tables and she is super quick to get the job done right! She even smiles the whole time she is on the restaurant floor with the customers) This is actually a big deal, bus boys can sometimes appear not happy at their job but she was smiling and sweet the whole time. Today I had the shrimp po boy without the cajun seasoning. Very appreciative that they will adjust their offering on the menu for me. I am not a fan of cajun flavor seasoning and they happily accommodated me. The shrimp were cooked perfectly crunchy and not over done. Rumalade was so tasty I could swim in it. Rich had a burger but said it was one of the best he has had down the shore. Extra pickles that were yummy! Next up for us will be dinner. Another day to come back to completely try every meal time. Look forward to more breakfasts and lunches too. Great place,...
Read moreI am beside myself and totally upset over the meal we got from Kitchen35 for Thanksgiving. They had offered a turkey dinner with the fixings for a set price of either $149 or $249. We were told it was amazing and we decided to get the $249 so we could have this amazing food we left over thru out the week. Well… it’s nothing like any of the food at the actual restaurant. It was boxed mashed potatoes that tasted exactly like boxed mashed potatoes. No love was put into it at all. I mean I’ve made mashed potatoes from the box before and I’ve made them so good, people THOUGHT they were real. But that was not the case here. The turkey was not actual real turkey on the bone, we didn’t get any legs, dark meat etc… cuz it’s a turkey roll, so that’s why it was one uniform looking piece for the entire Turkey meat we were given, cuz it was sliced off a Turkey roll. So, if you like processed meat with no bones or different varieties of Turkey meat, then sure, this would be for you. Then the stuffing was mushy and tasted very much like stove top or some store bought brand like that but again, it wasn’t made that great and it was like you could use a ice cream scooper and slop it on your plate. The string beans with almonds? Oh man… what a total miss. I’ve made this before but they used CANNED mushy string beans instead of fresh string beans. The cranberry sauce was not even worth mentioning really. No one ate it and that’s my favorite thing on thanksgiving, so I went and got a can of it. So, we paid $250 for canned string beans, boxed mashed, processed turkey roll meat, boxed mushy stuffing.. and we did get salad and apple & pumpkin pie too included in the meal package but we did this because my father died a month ago and today is his birthday in addition to thanksgiving. We were all drained from dealing with my fathers horrific battle with cancer and then his ultimate death. We wanted to take it easy and but still have good food and spend time together. We still spent time together and had some good chuckles at how disappointing the food was and we really regretted not getting Joe Leones instead. I’m sorry but this was awful and theres just no excuse to do this to people especially on...
Read moreThis evening, my wife and me went to kitchen 35 and looked over their menu and decided we were going to order a sandwich a soda and a grilled chicken sandwich on a roll with an iced tea. We were sat down in a booth and the waitress came over and asked us if we wanted something to drink. I ordered what I thought would be a sprite. My wife ordered an iced tea when I took a sip of the what I thought was sprite it did not taste like anything I have ever tasted on this planet, so I asked the waitress for another type of drink , all I got was another glass of what was called sprite . Then I asked her if I could have ice water because the drink did not taste well and the waitress stated that it wasn’t a brand name soda. Our dinner came out, and as we proceeded to eat My wife looked at me and I looked at her and realized we made a poor choice in picking our dinner this evening. The grilled chicken sandwich was rubbery and tough to eat. My club sandwich was presented well especially the basket with fries but the bread was cold and the bacon was very hard. We do not like to complain as it was frustrating enough and we were finished with work and just wanted a short and good meal. Well when we got the check the soda was still on the check. So I went to the cashier and explained I was disappointed in the charge for the soda. Instead. Of saying I’m sorry and we can correct your bill. She said you did order a soda didn’t you? Right there I was thru with ever spending my money there. After explaining again why I didn’t care for the soda she removed it from our bill. I left the waitress a tip. She spent more time worrying about her cell phone then taking care of her customers. Sorry but totally unacceptable. Save your self from the terrible customer service and food and go find a better establishment. This place will not be long if it keeps treating...
