Nicholas Creamery Wall — Restaurant in Wall Township

Went here only because Strollo's Lighthouse in Oakhurst closed early due to the truly crappy weather on 10/12/2025. No fault of theirs, but I wanted to treat my wife on her birthday to a peanut butter Italian ice after a nice dinner at Talula's in Asbury Park. They were closed so we headed back towards our home in Point Boro and we were going to stop at Shop-Rite and pick up some manager's special desserts to bring home to enjoy with our kids. Before we pulled into the parking lot, my wife said, "Nicholas! Let's go to Nicholas Creamery... I hope they're open. Lights are on! Yes, they're open." So, at 8:40pm on Sunday during a Nor'Easter, we went inside. She'd been here before a couple times and always told me about the cool collaborations they do with local businesses like Rook Coffee, Delicious Orchards, and Mueller's Bakery, among others, so I was intrigued to try it as well. I try to avoid dairy containing lactose, for my wife's benefit, so I opted for the pumpkin/graham cracker vegan (coconut milk) and cookies & cream vegan ice cream. Got a scoop of each. My wife got matcha and a scoop of the delicious orchards special. Both were amazing. Creamy, full of well-rounded flavor and truly affordable. We've noticed that Sundae's seems to have raised their prices in Point Pleasant to the point that we don't go there anymore, even though we like to support all our local businesses. This place is honestly the best place to get ice cream in NJ! The ice cream itself is the perfect consistency! It's creamy but not too creamy and not too sweet! Every flavor that I have tried so far is absolutely perfect! This honestly says a lot considering that I worked in a different ice cream shop for 4 years! The prices are also the cheapest around! The only reason why I would take away a star is because I was here on a Friday night and they only had 3 people working. Put more people on the schedule!! Line out the door. Took a very long time just to put in an order and 1 out of the 3 workers were working on door dash orders. It was really just 2 people working on the line. Another thing that I noticed was that it was not very clean. Milk shake machine area was filthy and so was the topping bar. Toppings everywhere and milk splattered all on the milk shake machines.
