have only been a resident of Pennsylvania for 4 years and 5 months now and a homeowner in Thorndale, Pennsylvania. To top is all off I an actual true business owner where I market two different brands of products one being Avon and one being Watkins products. Roughly about 2.5 weeks ago in August 2025 I went into prospect with the Far Away Country Store and I spoke with the Manager, Chrissie (sp?) to see if they'd be interested in letting me sell some Watkins products at the store. That day Chrissy was very receptive of the reason I was there to share the information about Watkins. She had never heard of Watkins products before like most people in this region haven't. My first visit I was there she willingly accepted a bundle of Watkins catalogs to display at the country store. I felt good when I departed the store to be on my marry way back into Thorndale/Coatesville area where home is. Everything felt very upbeat when I left. But now, about 2 weeks or so have gone by, I have heard good valid rumors from a good friend of mine who went into the country store and inquired and mentioned that he knew a friend who was in at the store wanting to sell a few Watkins wares. My good friend found out that the manager, Chrissy actually threw all 20 catalogs away right after I left that day I visited. People know that catalogs cost representatives money. That is very appalling to hear that Chrissy actually had the audacity to throw all 20 catalogs in the trash can which is a disgrace to the store and towards me. My friend found this out by another female who works there that she did that with the catalogs. It is very despicable deed that she did. I would not recommend patronizing the country store if one of their staff would do such a thing to disgrace a business owner that is trying to spread the news about another brand of products to the local businesses. Chrissy could've just could have been honest with me up front and said they probably won't be interested in displaying my products rather than throwing them in the trash receptacle. I am an honest hard working business owner who is trying to do good in sharing the news on Watkins products. I am also a Navy and Army veteran who served my country well for 12 years of combined service. I am not no fluke to be treated this way by a business owner and thier staff. I then called about 5 days ago and asked to speak to Kara, the major deciding person to find out if they were interested in letting me sell my Watkins wares at the country store. Kara answered, "What is Watkins"? That just told me that Chrissy neglected not to share the Watkins catalogs actually to her. That is and was very rude to do. Kara then said, "We're not interested" right away. I have learned that people in this region are short with other folks in conversation. Where do people around here get their manners from? I don't get it? I will never step foot and patronize Far Away Country Farm store every again. Even my good friend that told me what Chrissy had done, he and his family and relatives who live in the area will not patronize the country store again either. They have lost a lot of people's business in the region. I wish the country store a lot of luck. I am the new soon to be owner of "Mister Cofield Enterprises, LLC" of Thorndale, Pennsylvania. I market and sell both Avon and Watkins products if you are...
Read moreI had a bad experience here this morning. A friend and our kids decided to grab coffee and lunch today since it’s warm enough to sit outside and distance from each other. When we placed our order, we asked the two staff people (a young woman and older man) if they could please pull their masks up over their nose while we were in the shop. They pulled them up and we placed our order, paid, and went to wait outside. 15 minutes later another older man brought out all of our food in one brown paper bag without a mask on at all. This felt purposeful and complete inappropriate as we are paying customers who had just requested masks be worn correctly. Why would a small business treat customers this way? We very local and we...
Read moreI've never been in only have had the items sold there so I can't comment on service. However, the items are AMAZING! The Cinnamon Rolls Outstanding! Heavy Sweet Huge! Sticky Buns are Fantastic as well, better than those "Reputable" Shore places. The Everything Bagel Breakfast Sandwich is Spectacular. Yes, items are expensive but are worth it! Looking forward to trying other items.
This shop is doing things right as far as quality! It's a hidden Gem on the corner!
As for customer Leslie, it's their business they can do as they wish. They have freedom just as you do. A Wawa, Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts may be more what you are looking for as far as masks are concerned. Leaving a bad review bc...
