Had a delightful second visit to this warm and cozy coffee shop. The ambiance invites you to sit back, get comfy, and enjoy a good book. The drinks are still fantastic, but the croissants could still use a bit of adjusting. Overall, a charming spot for relaxation and quality beverages.

Original post: A wonderful cozy new edition to the area.

We went there for the soft opening last week. I'm not a coffee drinker so I usually order a chai tea latte, for my husband I ordered a caramel cappuccino, and I also tried a plain croissant. I've learned it's hard to find cafes that make a good chai tea but I love theirs and the fact they didn't shy away from a spicer blend or maybe I need to give more credit to the gut who made it. My husband said his cappuccino exceptional. The only thing I'd ready that needed work was the croissant, I liked the little bit of sweetness it had on top and it has good flavor but it wasn't flaky but tough and dense. I'm short overtime. They will perfect that too.

The staff was amazingly pleasant and friendly and even though they just opened, they all seem to get along very well.

I appreciate the warm and cozy atmosphere. I especially enjoy the area where they keep books to make you feel like you're invited to stay to have a cup of tea, a bite of food, and find a good book to read. I hate when you go to a nice cafe and you feel rushed to leave.

Unfortunately for me but fortunately for them the word must have already gotten out on how delightful they are because there was nowhere to park. There is a larger parking area down the street, but I have a feeling they'll continue to have parking issues because the lot is so small.

This is definitely a new find that I'm sure I'll be making my way back to. Although I'll have to wonder if it's ok to roll up in my jammies and slippers in the early morning and sit in one of the big comfy chairs or if I'll be judged by...

I go to A LOT of coffee shops. They are my favorite environment to write, work, and socialize in. I know what makes a good coffee shop. This, friends, is a GOOD coffee shop.

First of all, the atmosphere is fantastic. While many modern coffee shops are opting for plastic chairs and tables, the Mean Bean has all beautiful wooden furniture. The tables are big, chairs are comfortable, and you could literally stay for hours and feel totally relaxed. On top of that, the Wifi is excellent (which is important since I get no service there as a Verizon customer) and there are lots of outlets to plug in your laptop. The bathroom is cute, clean, and comfortable, too!

Second, the staff is fantastic. I have been there a few times now and the baristas are extremely friendly, personable, funny, and make you feel so comfortable. I have had easy banter with every barista there and they've all been so enjoyable to interact with.

Third, the coffee is great. So far I have had iced lattes and cold brews and both have been exceptional. You can customize everything from the milk, to the cold brew flavors. The menu is vast, creative, and just extremely good.

Finally, there is a community vibe to this coffee shop that is missing so many places. As a coffee shop/ice cream shop (I haven't tried the ice cream) there are people in and out all day. With board games and books available, this becomes a comfortable space for people to spend time. Personally, I love seeing kids and teenagers have a nice place to go where they can socialize and not just sit around on screens endlessly. We need more places like this that encourage that sort of thing!

So, in all, I love this place. I live 15 minutes away and there are probably 5 coffee shops closer to me than this. But I drive further to go here. It's one of the best coffee shops...

There's a new kid on the block! And this is a place you don't want to pass by. The Mean Bean and Cream coffee, pastry and ice cream shop recently opened and there's a lot of positive things the business provides. A stunning country atmosphere, choice decorations and an attentive staff sets the standard in what a modern coffeeshop should be. The selection of coffee and brewing methods are just about right; not too much or too little. Frozen, cold, hot, or not, you will not be disappointed with your cup! There is plenty of seating and provides intimate yet public space. Such a great meet up place! We didn't try the ice cream but we also ordered an amazing cinnamon roll that had a rich, buttery taste and a sweet honey glaze on the bottom.

No TV's, but store-appropriate music was playing. Free wifi, and plenty of parking.

We did not stay, but I think having access to books, board games, and maybe serving light fare (not only pastries and cookies) is possible. Nothing beats a bagel with cream cheese with a coffee! Or a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich! The possibilities are endless!

Parking is right up front, with access to a covered porch. I hope to expect outdoor seating and maybe a quick serve ice cream window in the warmer months!

We look forward to coming here in the future and wish nothing but the best for the...

The workers are so kind and friendly which is the most important thing and their coffee is really good. Their large is actually large so it can last you after you leave, and their new personal quiches are super tasty and filling. (Pictured is their seasonal special blueberry muffin latte - which was perfection.) The inside is well decorated. Sometimes, it's hard finding a place to park, but apart from that, I'm thankful Glenmoore has this coffee shop. It's great that they're open later in the summer on Saturday's for late night coffee or ice cream dates.
