Can’t rate customer service so much because we did our order on the little kiosk. Card orders must be done on kiosk and cash orders only are done at the register they don’t do card orders at the register. So no real interaction there. In the image the spicy chicken appears to be breaded with spice, however, when my husband got into his spicy chicken the patty was bland and the spice was a slather on the bread sauce. He was not pleased at all. We got a fish platter to share and try the fish since it only comes with two pieces and two sides we split that meal. I ordered the Gold Rush Chicken sandwich and you can see in my vids for yourself what the food looked like. My sandwich was just fine by me. Not going to say superb but this is not a fancy restaurant and for a fast food joint at a travel plaza I was not disappointed with my sandwich. The lettuce and trimmings are laid out in like a salad bar style so you add your own condiments and trimmings, therefore, it’s hard to go wrong. If it’s skimpy on the lettuce or tomato it’s by your own doing. The fish was not horrible, I’m not a huge fan of fish unless it’s from LJ’s in Texas so.. but two piece of fish and two sides for $16 is high price to me. I wouldn’t spend it again. However it maybe well worth it to the next person. There are no combos in the burgers and sandwiches everything is individually priced. So if a combo is what you’re looking for you maybe spending about $25 ish give or take. The place was clean and kept up with and no one was rude or ugly so the four stars were mainly cuz of hubbys spicy sandwich not being as it is advertised and the prices but all in...
Read moreCompletely a fail. I went here for fried chicken. They were always great for the fried chicken. However the employee stated they ran 𝕆𝕌𝕋 of chicken at 6pm and turned off the ovens and this was at 8pm
So even though it closes at 9pm they didn't feel the need to put more chicken on. Not even chicken sandwiches or nuggets or anything chicken. He did say they had a lot of Mac and cheese. Yay?
They did have beef and fish. But that was a total let down. The roast beef sandwich was overcooked. The employee who dipped it in the liquid probably had the setting too high. The beef was dry as hell with no condiments to put on top of it. At least I didn't see any (or offered any). They barely had any napkins at one dispenser.
The bag that my sandwich was in wasn't even branded, it was a cheap brown paper bag. Now I could care less about the bag but I started to think this restaurant isn't a good place if they are cheaply run at everything. I personally don't think I'll be stopping by here anytime soon. So neither should you.
On a side note, the employees seemed decent and attentive. They were trying to get all the orders from the 3-4 different sets of customers behind me. Wʜᴏ ᴀʟʟ...
Read moreWorkers there completely ignored customers standing in line. No one directed people waiting to use the kiosks that were there. People were just waiting there and the ones in front of us left once we figured out on our own to use them. There were two young guys in the kitchen part joking and laughing the whole time. The first guy started doing the orders and then the second one after finishing sweeping came to help the first one. But he didn't wash his hands after putting the broom away. He did have on gloves while sweeping and took them off afterwards but he still should have washed them. A third person finally appeared near the registers and gave us our cups to get our drinks but the drinks we ordered on the kiosk were not available due to the machine being turned off. While waiting I could hear the conversation between the two guys and some of what was said was very offensive. Got our food and the food was cold. Fish sandwich was inedible, fries tasted old and lukewarm and my chicken sandwich was not hot as well. We had to go somewhere else just so my husband could have something to eat. This was our first time going to a Roy Rogers and needless to say I will never go to...
