Small town diner, not very busy when we were there. Waitress was very good, polite, got us what we needed efficiently and had a nice sense of humor. We came just in time for breakfast and I got the sausage and cheese omelette. Sausage had good flavor and there was plenty of it for only $7.50 (does not state on the menu that it comes with hash browns or toast). My hubby got the Country Fried Steak Special made with chicken - homemade gravy, really nice white meat fried chicken breast. As we went to leave we realized he never got his hashbrowns - cashing out the waitress isn't allowed to cash people out, the manager or owner has to do it. She was busy on a phone call and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Told her that we never got our hashbrowns and her response "Oh" and rang me up at full price. No, sorry, no can we get them for you to go, nothing - they right back to her phone call!! We aren't local, but definitely won't bother to come back with this treatment!

Was in the area monday to see turkey run, found this little spot while checking out covered bridges. This "fine establishment" is a gem. Just the kind of down home, back roads, ol' fashioned, country joint i like. And the folks were just down to earth good people. Full of nostalgia and folks' memories, a FAMILY TRADITION. Food was awesome, some of the best pie i ever ate. And got a lil opry show to go with it. Gospel on mon, country thur and sat. Id recommend it to anyone. To those that came up and spoke, knowing we obviously werent locals, thanks for the hospitality. We'll for sure be back, next time i'll bring my momma. Btw their looking for good help! Their trying to continue to do something they love, just a look at the walls and you can see that!

What a wonderful surprise. A quaint little cafe in Wallace Indiana. Ms Linda made us feel right at home!! Home style cooking, reasonable prices and great service. The catfish special was so good, and the homemade Butterfinger cheesecake was delicious!! We happened to visit on the night of live gospel music. Check out this small town cafe, you'll feel like you've gone back in time.
