Creekside Grill — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

We went here with no desire to cook after a long ,enjoyable, and hot day. Just small salads for us. Choice among 8 varied salad offerings. These are a nice size. The large salads are very generous. The smaller size is bigger than a side salad and great for those of us who are not big eaters. Bread basket complimentary with pretzel dough rolls and butter that tasted freshly made.

Staff is good, respectful, and experienced. Creekside Grill, being located in a large retirement community, knows their clientele.

We ate outside, and the place filled up rapidly after we arrived a little before six on a Thursday evening.

We have had live music in the past, usually a single singer with an instrument. Always appropriate and worked well even with conversation around the table.

Lovely location in Rossmoor retirement community. I gave this restaurant three stars because the food meets the minimal requirements. I've eaten seven times prior to giving this review. Frozen food is NOT the way , the chicken, burger, appetizers, shrimp, if it can be frozen it will be used. I was so disappointed in the burger, the patty was tasteless, shrimp could be anything in the fish family, chicken frozen and the restaurant CAN do better and should do better. The dessert menu needs to be totally restructured, the expediter does a great job with presentation, but you can easily PASS on dessert and quit throwing cookies and chocolate sauce on everything. We are so lucky to have the Creekside Grill in our community! The food is great, the service is friendly, and the environment is beautiful. The salmon is delivered daily, and always perfectly cooked. There are several salads to choose from, and the lamb shank is one of the best I have ever had. If something isn't perfect, then they will make it right if you speak up. Our latest fave is the salmon mousse appetizer! They even serve special menus on holidays, and one of my nephews remarked that his Thanksgiving dinner was the best meal he had EVER had!

The staff are so caring for those with mobility issues, often helping those that need to use walkers or wheelchairs.
