I have to say... This is a great place! We loved it! The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing, and makes you want to stay to enjoy the space with friends! It is a cocktail tavern and if you've never been- I would compare it to some of the gastropubs. We actually stopped here on our way home from having dinner in Columbus. We stopped for a drink. This is the perfect place to hang out after dinner! Everyone working there was so nice and helpful, they were all working hard to make sure the customers were happy. I could just see it when we walked in, the whole atmosphere was pleasant. The menu was that of food that sounded delicious (even though I was still full from dinner), many good wines, and mixed drinks. If you didn't find a drink you like, they will help solve that problem... I didn't know how they would actually customize a cocktail to the flavors you like. Oh, and did you know about the ice?! Check out the picture - Crystal clear ice is made in their own ice house and cut for your drink. I enjoyed a favorite of mine - a Mule, it was made with fresh ginger, sugar, soda, and vodka. My husband really enjoyed his customized drink as well, it was a customHome on the Range. We couldn't pass up the dessert while we were there, we had the banana foster beignet and omgoodness it was soooo good! I am really looking forward to going back and tasting some more of the food along with trying some other cocktails. Until then, we purchased a bottle of wine to go - The Seeker Reisling. Thank you again for a great end to our...
Read moreWe did a private cocktail lesson with a group of 6 of us with “Ben the Bar Guy” at his Hereinafter Cocktail Tavern and we also had dinner. Ben was extremely outgoing and entertaining throughout the evening. He did a tremendous job of explaining some of the history of various classic cocktails. He was also a wealth of knowledge about the nuances of bartending and what makes a great cocktail. We were able to see how many different cocktails are made and then we were able to drink each of them. These included some variations of old fashioneds, margaritas, daiquiris, an espresso martini, and his own creation - the oaxacanite. Each of these were refreshingly delicious and a perfect mixture of spirit with its accompanying other ingredients. Ben also showed us how to create our own large ice block and then cut the ice block into large “rocks” for the drinks. The food was also extremely tasty and pleasantly unique from most other restaurants.
I’d highly recommend attending one of Ben’s cocktail lessons during select brunch services he offers if you enjoy cocktails or if you want to learn more about how to make better cocktails for you and your friends. You...
Read moreWe had 5:00 reservations for 1/7/23. We arrived early and were seated immediately. Service was great, at first. Ordered drinks and appetizers. They all arrived quickly and tasted incredible. This is where the wheels fell off. We ordered our entrees at approximately 5:30. Needless to say at 7:00, when our food still hadn’t arrived, no one had stopped to check on us for anything, and we saw a table of 12 that were seated 30 minutes after us leave, I finally waved down our waitress to inquire about our food. We got a response about 15 minutes later saying our order had been cleared out of their system. We asked for the check for the drinks and apps. I then received a check for $86 for 2 appetizers and 3 drinks. I asked to talk to someone in charge and was told she would talk to the owner. Needless to say he did everything around the bar, but would never come talk to us. Finally the GM came over and apologized profusely. She did give us a significant discount, but we left 3 hours after we arrived incredibly...
