I want to start by saying how grateful I am to have Mediterranean cuisine here in Wanaque. A breath of fresh air aside from fast food, pizza, and Chinese. For 15.95 I got the firestix chicken bowl. It was worth every bit of 15.95 cause the portion was HUGE. My girlfriend got the firestix chicken stick and a side of fries. Her chicken came with pita bread, and I got a Greek salad which was different than what Iām used too but I like a lot of feta cheese on my Greek salads and this had nice chunks. The style was pretty cool. I like what they did with romas old place and the menus are digital. We spent about 40$ but I also ordered more than we could eat to at least try as much as I could for this one visit. Their desert menu is extensive so Iām looking forward to going back and trying that. Iām going to try everything on the menu but I started with just these items. Everyone in town should go support our local businesses and give them a try šÆ ps. Thereās more parking in the back so donāt be discouraged to pull in if you see it packed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust went to Firestix with the family and everyone loved their meals! Kids both said their gyro and gyro bowls were better than what they get at their old favorite Greek restaurant. I got a chicken gyro salad and while I was waiting I started to regret ordering chicken thinking it would be dry and tasteless compared to the other meat optionsā¦but when it came I was pleasantly surprised! Chicken was DELICIOUS! Crispy pieces of meal that felt like I was eating bacon (almost) and the portion was huge- so much meat, no lettuce, just all the toppings of a salad- and olives and feta. Prices great compared to other Greek restaurants. Also a nice selection of desserts that I will need to try next time! Being a new restaurant I expected kind of a long wait but food came out faster than expected (I went at about 1 in the afternoon). Definitely worth a try- Iād be willing to wait if it were at a busier time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrove by this place and promised myself I would stop and try it some day. Love Mediterranean cuisine and was intrigued. Attended a wake down the street and stopped in on the way home as I hadnāt had dinner yet. Stepped in the door right at 8pm (closing time) and apologized to the owner(?) for arriving too late. He insisted it was no problem and to take my time. I ordered the beef-lamb gyro platter and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Iām not a huge fan of French fries and usually ask to substitute with extra salad or something else, however, I felt guilty to make extra requests as he was being nice enough to not let me go hungry tonight. I opened the dish about a half an hour later when I got home and the fries were still hot and CRISPY. I ate every last bite⦠everything was amazing. Will definitely be...
