Was very displeased at my experience with the staff at Cocos. If I could give zero stars I would, but sadly that isnโ€™t an option. My son got sick while eatingโ€”this wasnโ€™t even the problem as he does this sometimes. Anyhow, I took my son (he is five) to the bathroom to throw up (which he always makes it to the toilet every timeโ€”no trails of vomit to the toilet). While he was in the middle of puking his guts out, one of the staff saw him actively vomiting and said that she was sorry he was sick. All of this was fine and I figured that she would then notify the proper people to clean around the toilet and disinfect (as there were no cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc with which to clean up visible vomit and I was also busy with a sick kid + my four month old who was still at the table with my husband and in-laws). So with that having happened, I went back and sat down. Not five minutes later the same woman came and tapped me on the shoulder and handed me a roll of paper towels demanding that I clean up the vomit and saying that she would disinfect after I removed the visible vomit (thank gosh she was going to disinfect). Iโ€™m fine to clean up after my sick child, after all I am the parent. However, they handled this situation extremely poorly and not to mention, in front of everyone which was highly embarrassing. The worst part was honestly the fact that the same woman demanding I clean the vomit was the same one that witnessed my son and I in the bathroom while he was ill. Not once did she ask if there was anything she could do or offer me any warm, damp towels, any paper towels, or even any gloves KNOWING that the bathroom only had an automatic hand drier! What was I going to do? Clean it up with toilet paper!?!

I will also say, I probably did not handle the situation on my end like I should have either. I should have gone and told staff, not assuming the staff member would see this go down and tell the person assigned to clean bathrooms (because thatโ€™s what you do when you work ((also knowing that the said toilet would need to be disinfected regardless))), but again I did have my hands full with my sick five year old and a four month old child at the table. Maybe help a mama out next time, staff? In the 20+ years that I have been alive, I have never been asked to clean up vomit after an accident in a public restroom inside a business. Again, if the necessary supplies would have been there, I would have cleaned it without being asked. I will also say that if I was on staff and I knew someone had gotten sick, I would have offered help or assistance in some way and I was not offered either.

The sad part of the whole ordeal is that I probably will no longer give Cocoโ€™s my business due to the way in which I was treated so rudely and not offered any help.

So lesson for Cocoโ€™s, next time a mother or father of young children needs help or support, please do the kindness of offering them help and supportโ€”especially in public AND at a restaurant which can be a hard place to be with young children. Wouldnโ€™t you want someone to do that for you, staff? You can say parents can just not come if itโ€™s that hard, but sometimes we need to go out and feel normal several months after the birth of a child!

Overall, I was just really floored by the...

Yeah. No. This place was so disappointing. We waited for 35 minutes to be seated, there were only like 5 tables so that already didn't make sense. It was recommended for it's new street tacos on the menu, which, yes, they were amazing, my mother and sister ordered them. Def get that sauce that comes with it! But as far as ordering anything else, that's gonna be a hard no. I ordered the Chille Relleno, it was stuffed with cheese, fried, and then watered down tomato soup was basically poured all over the top. It was bland, and I could tell it was made, frozen, thawed, and then reheated. It was awful. None of the food was hot, and we waited a good 45 minutes for the entrees to come out. Mine was cold. So I fully expect a hot, steamy plate when food takes a bit longer to come out. Now given, this place is attached to a gas station so I suppose that speaks for itself. We ordered some margaritas, and they were just straight tequila. Maybe on a Friday or Saturday night, I wouldn't be complaining so much, but for lunch with my mother on Mother's Day, not so much. I absolutely will never be back. Overpriced....

Who doesn't want a margarita the size of your head? The house margaritas are fantastic, but the smaller Cadillac margaritas are worth the little extra $$. Their salsa and chips are great, and I've never had any of their dinners that weren't delicious! It's a fun family atmosphere, and has amazing, authentic Mexican cuisine! Are you not wanting to cook, and get out for a casual dinner to eat fantastic food? What are you waiting for? ๐ŸŒฏ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฎ Update a year and a half later: I stand by my first review. Our whole family loves this place. We've never had a dish someone wasn't completely happy with. My favorite is the Caritas dinner. It comes with perfectly cooked, tender chunks of pork, rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, & sour cream. ๐Ÿ˜‹ If you're in the mood for pork nachos you can order a side of their great white cheese sauce & make your own with their free chips & salsa. It also comes with fresh, soft flour tortillas if you want a taco. It's very versatile! Bottom line, Top Shelf Margaritas & Caritas dinner is an amazing bang for your buck. But, again, it's all good! Enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Š

First off if the parking lot is full you can still get a seat. This was the first time my wife and I ate there and we have mixed feelings about the meal. While the food was good and we ordered alot to sample alot of things. My main complaint was the food was kinda bland and I would have liked it to be more flavorful. But we will go back because it was just as good as the other restaurants in the area. If you look at the pics I took we got the chimichanga enchiladas the dinner grande. The chimi could have been crispier and not so chewy.
