Not a corporate chain, this is a great place to get good Mexican food. Service was polite and attentive but not overpowering. Seating reminds me of the hard working family owned and operated restaurants in small towns across Texas. It's comfortable and the music is appropriate to the theme, not loud, so table conversations aren't a screaming contest. I had the Tacos El Patron and my Wife enjoyed Birria Tacos. Salsas are flavourful, they will bring you a spicier version on request. Prices are reasonable considering the portions and flavors that are very pleasant. If you are in the area, stop in. This was our first experience ordering from Jalapenas. We ordered to go. We got the Pollo Aztecta and the Tilapia Zareada. Excellent! The flavors were slightly more spicey than other Mexican restaurants, but not overpowering. The refied beans were good and the Mexican rice was the best I've had so far. The tilapia was well seasoned. The salsa had a very fresh flavor. We will definately eat here again. This may become our new favorite Mexican restaurant. This was our second time there. Food was excellent. Service was a little slow this time, seems like they might be having staffing issues but it wasn't too bad. Food is very fresh and authentic. Kids chicken nuggets had some sort of amazing batter on them, the fries too. It tasted like a carnival smells, delicious !Prices are extremely affordable. I hope they can hire more people soon. Parking can be a little tricky when its crowded but all in all we will definitely be making this a regular...
