I have been a customer for over 20 years, but after the experience I had with the "manager" on the phone tonight I am completely done. The customer service from the higher ups is absolutely horrendous anymore. I placed an online order for delivery to which I received an email confirmation and receipt. I assumed all is well considering I have had delivery to my home from them before. After an hour and no delivery I decided to call to see if there was an issue. At this time I was informed that they cancelled my order because they don't deliver where I'm at. This was news to me. I asked about the charge for almost $40 that was on my card from the restaurant but the person I was speaking to said they didn't know because on their end it's cancelled. I hung up, gathered my thoughts, and then called back to speak with the manager. At this point I wish I had gotten their name. I did ask if I was speaking to Laurie (Sayers) and they got snippy with me and said something about that person being a driver. Anyway, the "manager" was incredibly rude and has atrocious customer service skills or customer care in general. I asked when the delivery area changed and instead of answering me she cut me off and tells me that she looked up my account and there were only 4 orders on my account in the past. So, I'm thinking to myself "AND YOUR POINT IS?", but instead I told her that I was aware and that some of those were for delivery to the very same place I was denied delivery to this evening. I then told her that as a long time customer I was very disappointed that they aren't delivering to my area of Warren anymore. Again she rudely cuts me off to tell me they never did deliver there and that they tried to call me 4 times and it went to voicemail. I said the number they were calling is an old number that is no longer active, and that the online ordering doesn't even ask for or have a place to add a current phone number. Then the "manager" has the audacity to tell me that I "could have very easily sent them a message to let them know my current phone number". Well, excuse the heck out of me for not being psychic and not knowing that there was going to be an issue that warranted them needing to call me, especially considering they don't even ask for the number when ordering. Not to mention I have absolutely no idea how I was supposed to so easily send this message to them. At that point I was pretty angry and told her that I was going to make it known exactly how they treat their customers. What this joke of a manager doesn't know is that I regularly place orders for the different organizations i run or assist with using the organization or business contact name. My husband also runs a couple sports leagues and has always placed large orders for Caesar's chicken for different events with the leagues. All of that business is lost now. Additionally, I am a huge local business supporter and have purchased certificates and the like from them for different events and fundraisers I was coordinating. Most of the time I have sent someone in my place to make the purchase as my schedule is pretty intense. I will be going elsewhere from now on. Lastly, I have always referred visitors to the restaurant when they are in town. Given my line of work those referrals happen quite often. Not anymore. In the grand scheme of things I highly doubt any of this will matter to anyone at Caesar's, but that in itself is pretty sad. I saw on another comment how the owner told someone they were "firing them as a customer" and how their "million dollar business" pretty much doesn't care about said customer. That's absolutely unprofessional for a business owner to say to a customer whether they don't like the customer's review or not. It speaks volumes for the way the business is run. Customer service is of the utmost importance in food service, especially as a local establishment. Word of mouth matters. Bad customer service is why the chain restaurants are stomping out the local...
Read moreAfter living in Warren for over 2 years and ordering from Caesar's almost 30 times I've came to the conclusion that it's useless to keep giving them a chance. The customer service offered would be better if calls were relayed through India because at least you could talk to someone. I've spent COUNTLESS hours over the past couple of years trying to call them, verifying the number, trying different phones, etc to no avail. Out of all the orders we've placed only 2 have arrived like they were supposed to and trying to get them to fix their mistakes is even more of a struggle. We've resorted to driving to the location to pick up our "delivery" on more than one occasion because we had waited almost 2 hours for it to arrive. We've even had other times where they've canceled orders after accepting payment and left us waiting over an hour and a half.
When you're lucky enough to win the lottery and actually get to speak with someone who works there you're treated rudely. Any comments about how difficult it is to reach them gets a response 'yea, we are having phone problems' and then dismissed. Here's an idea - if after 2 years of being open and you STILL have phone problems perhaps it's time to change phone companies. Or perhaps the problem is actually on their end and they can't own it.
It amazes me how this place is still open. Normally I rate companies pretty highly so you know this place has to be pretty bad. I would have given 0 stars but their food gave them 1. They sadly could have 5 stars if they drastically fixed all the sectors of the business.
