El Maguey Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Warrenton

This is my new go-to Mexican restaurant. I live just 22 minutes away and there are no other Mexican restaurants anywhere near unless you go to Thompson. Well last week I decided to give this place a try. I wasn't expecting much but boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. I had the Texas Rice after being told it was the most ordered menu item I can see why! If you like Arroz Con Pollo, you will LOVE Texas Rice. It has a huge amount of meat-steak, chicken and huge shrimp. The rice was seasoned to perfection and it wasn't just convered or swimming in cheese to cover up and unsavory dish It was just the right amount of cheese to make the rice stick together just right. I noticed several other dishes being served at neighboring tables that looked equally as fabulous. I will definitely be back to try out more. El Maguey in Warrenton...

I went here today for lunch with my mom, grandma, aunt and my 4th cousin. My aunt, uncle, and cousin from Eatonton met us there. So there was 8 of us. It didn't look like a restaurant from the outside but it smelled GOOD. It was super freezing cold but the nice lady cut the air conditioner over us off when she noticed, we didn't have to ask. I liked the menu, it was easy to read and clean. I got the pollo con crema and I think it's the best I've had cause the sauce was creamier than most places. We stayed about 1 and a half hours. Last night March 22 got there there not real big crowd. Food was great the service was not good at all. The owner when he is there it seems to run a lot better. We placed a ordered had to go to bar 35 minutes later to get sauce and napkins why give one napkin to two people. The two little girls at the front door needs to stay off the phone and help out. It took over 45 minutes to get our order. I saw several people upset and walked out. Question why do you have only two waitress and a party of 30 people. I could took the employees at Elkisco in Thomson and they could have done a better job in...
