I've eaten here many times in the past & have always had a wonderful experience. This past Saturday night was just the worst I've ever had anywhere. My boyfriend ordered the tenderloin special topped w Cajon shrimp! Shrimp had way too much Cajon on the n the steak looked spoiled. It was gray on color n looked like they boiled it in water. No taste but yet a hint of spoiled. I got tenderloin tips on toast. The pieces were about the size of very small croutons. Had no flavor n was drenched in A1 sauce! We didn't take more than a bite! Waitress never asked why we didn't eat it. My boyfriend doesn't like make z fuss. So we paid the bill & left! Had I been there without him they would've been refunding my money! There was no turning this meal around or attempting to order something else! It was just down right awful! I could not have served that food to anyone including my dog! Will never eat there again unless I hear that they were sold to someone else! Very bad reputation they are giving such an awesome local restaurant that always had served top quality dishes at z...
Read moreIt all depends what you are looking for. We stopped by on a Thursday evening, expecting a quieter post dinner atmosphere. Unfortunately we happened upon trivia night. It was packed and loud, and we ended up in a small room with 7 or so loud patrons. A bit of bad luck i suppose. The place looked nice and perhaps on something other than trivia night it would be quieter. Service was on the slow side (expected when the place is packed) but was lacking in other areas - not offering to refill my empty water glass for example. Could have been better. We decided to go with several appetizers as a meal. My wife got the peel and eat shrimp. It was not good at all. The shrimp was tasteless and limp. The pub fries were hot and fairly good, but not the best I've had. We also got nachos grande with chili, cheese, jalapenos, etc. It was good overall, but the chili that was on it was overcooked and dry - as if the leftovers from the bottom of the pot. Perhaps if we had gone at a different time, or ordered different stuff, but while not bad, it was a...
Read moreMy service was lost at the door. My daughter wanted to treat me to dinner and I wanted to try some place new. We were in the area so I suggested we try this place. We waited to be seated as it was packed and they were awaiting a couple of parties to show up. The waitress was talking to us and then I'm guessing the manager came over and insisted my daughter, who has purple hair and work attire on, remove her hoodie for "their facial recognition system" to scan her face. That's some serious software for a pub! I'm guessing it's more of a small town prejudice if you ask me considering others had hats on. I wonder if his surveillance saw past that? If you are of a religion that requires a head covering stay away. I'll definitely make sure all of my minority friends and co-workers know about the profiling as well. Oh did I mention the irony... My daughter just graduated college with a degree in conflict analysis studying "carceral technoscience" or basically policing and surveillance and the profiling that...
