Avoid this place. Prices are extremely high, food is terrible, atmosphere is too loud, workers and owner are argumentative, prideful, and dismissive. I ordered a steak, baked potato, and veggies. The steak was chewy, gristly, stringy. The potato was overcooked. The veggies included broccoli and carrots. The broccoli literally had no florets, just the stems. I couldn't believe it. The veggies combined were perhaps 1 cup, probably less. They asked if I wanted sour cream and bacon on my potato. I said no (I don't eat bacon). They brought it out with bacon anyway. I informed them about the mistake and the owner gave me attitude and acted like it was my fault. She brought it back 30 seconds later. It seems they wiped the bacon and sour cream off the potato and served it right back to me. After seeing the steak's condition, the overcooked potato, and the missing florets, I told the owner I couldn't accept the meal and asked for a refund. She started yelling at me, argued with me, and had several people in the restaurant looking over. She told me I was just being picky. So I picked up the broccoli off the plate and showed her the stems with missing florets. She ignored that and continued arguing. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her about it and ended up paying for a meal I didn't eat (35 dollars for that plate). I would have been annoyed at the food quality if it were just that. As soon as I get attitude from owner and staff, I never go back to a place. ...

This place is magic.

It's in this little town that we were driving past. We saw NO PEOPLE until we entered this restaurant. It was like the food, the drinks, the decor, everything was catered to the exact wants and needs of our group. They had my favorite food on special. My friends' favorite foods were also available. I love watermelon obsessively. There were watermelon cocktails. My favorite dipping sauce is buffalo, they usually wouldn't have it but it just so HAPPENED that they had wings on special the previous day. Everything was delicious. My bestie loves cow print, it was everywhere. The booths were so comfortable. The woman working was so nice. People got up to leave right as we wanted to take pictures of where they were sitting.

It felt like a liminal space created just to please us. We were scared we got in a car accident and died and went to heaven. "...Except the AC was too high for it to be heaven" But it immediately got to a comfortable temp...within seconds

10/10 recommend stopping here if you're ever driving through the desolate hellscape of the PNW desert. I don't know what Americana food and decor is your favorite, but I'm sure they will have it when you arrive.

Thank God we didn't eat the 4 incredible sounding homemade pies for dessert or I'm pretty sure we would have just surrendered...

This is the way restaurant bar should be kept. Exemplary staff just the right amount of hospitality yet allowing us to have our conversation without interruption atmosphere was very cozy and warming and welcoming. Saddles hanging from the ceiling was a fantastic tattoo girl in Goldendale Washington definitely miss it unfortunately but that town didn't deserve such a great restaurant. These ladies work their butts off and they deserve every penny of the tip that they earn it's always nice to be in a facility or restaurant where people are interested in how you truly feel about their establishment. And you can tell when someone like our Hostess and waitress feel about their job when they treat their customers exemplary. Our meal was amazing dessert was taken home with us because there's no way with the portions we received could we finish everything there. Definitely a return customer and will refer this restaurant a nice low-key environment with a spark of down home there are literally hundreds of people trying hospitality. Thanks ladies for a great experience and a fantastic afternoon I hope your 4th of July...

Frostys in Rufus is unfortunately closed early on Sunday so we tried cowgirls. Seems like the hot spot in wasco but only one server running the restaurant and bar. Michelle was awesome tho and the food was good. Tasty burger and fresh salad. My ribeye was cooked perfectly but over seasoned. Old frozen corn wasn't good but they ran out of mashed potatoes ( we got there an hour before close). Overall good experience and appreciate good service.

A wonderful stop along highway 97 if you take time to drive into Wasco. The Dirty Cowgirl is a classic mom and pop style country pub with good greasy spoon entrees and warm hospitality. The burgers are fresh and hearty, the warm sandwiches don't disappoint and don't skip the fried cauliflower. The whole place feels clean and well taken care of. Make sure you stop into town if you're traveling and give the Dirty Cowgirl a try.

We stopped on our way back home. I am so glad we did. The server was awesome! The food was delicious. My husband didn’t even save me a bite of his fish and chips. He devoured it. I got the roast beef melt. I would usually choose french fries but decided on the macaroni salad. It was so good. Side note….bathroom was super clean too. If and when we travel back through it will definitely be a stop.
