Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Washington Park

😡😡😡 The location is in Normandy, Missouri…..My order was to-go…I ordered one 2 piece for $2.99, the choose two for $4.49(I wanted the 2 buffalo boneless wings), a two piece dark with Mac and Cheese with a extra side of fries, and lastly a three piece dark with mash potatoes and a extra side of okra) First Mistake was they left off the whole three piece meal, Then I was charged for a large Mac and cheese when I only wanted a small. I was still very polite and told the cashier don’t worry about it just ring me up another two piece meal. I got ready to leave and noticed the I had lemon pepper wings instead of buffalo…the manager said it was her fault she couldn’t see to well and then yelled to the employees how long on the boneless wings…the other employee said about 8 minutes, she never asked me if I wanted to wait another 8 minutes so I just sat down and started eating my meal which didn’t come with a drink. My other 2 meals came with drinks but I didn’t order one with mine. So I politely asked if I could have a cup of water while I ate. The manager told me it was against company policy to give me a drink because they water came in bottles, so I then asked for a cup of ice and was told it was against company policy and that is where I became upset…YOU MESS MY ORDER UP AND OVER CHARGE ME!!! AND I CANT GET A CUP OF...

So first when we went in my companion ha dto use the rest room. They said no you can't use it let me see what you're buying first. They finally let her use the bathroom. Then when. I ordered my meal got all the way home to find that the family sized okra that I ordered was just a handful. So after getting off the road from a long trip, with low gas I had to drive all the way back from home in Collinsville just to get my order correct bc they would not answer the phone. I called over 7 times. When I got back the lady tried to hurry and close the door on me stating the inside is closed. I told her I was just there a d I needed my correct order. So I told the manager and instead of apologizing for the mishaps she sighed and said "ughh y'all Killin me. So as we explained the situation she cut us off abruptly with a rude nasty attitude. However she did replace the entire meal as we had asked so that all our food can be hot and fresh. The other worker kept saying oh there not gonna replace the food. And they aren't gonna answer the phone. But she did.we have been going to this location for over 20 yrs never had a problem. But w the new staff there has always beem something. No good customer service. so needless to say, I won't be returning there...

This is for the Washington Park, IL store # 1031. Had a bad experience 45 min earlier at the Belleville location, was able to call this location and the manager Monica answered the phone immediately! I explained the situation, having come up from Florida, and the main food I wanted was Churches, and the bad experience with the Belleville store. She took my large order, said she would get right on it, and off my brother in law went to make the 20 min drive. It was not ready when he got there, so they were making it all fresh! He said all staff was nice, Monica packed it herself, and the 20 min drive home started. I have to say, EVERYTHING was still hot, fresh, and delicious! What a difference with Monica running that location. After stuffing ourselves, I called her again to tell her how she made my evening, and what great service. I will be talking to corporate headquarters this week, and going as far up the chain as I can to praise Monica and her Washington Park IL location, and also to report the terrible location in Belleville store #617. Great job...
