Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you'd have asked me a year ago, I'd have given 5 stars. However, as of tonight, I'm leaving a 1 star review.
I purchased a $200 package upon arrival ($180 for the package, $20 tip). There were 7 people here for my birthday. When my husband and I arrived, we were the first ones of our group here. With the package, we are supposed to get a special booth, a bottle of liquor, 2 1/2 gallons of mixers (we got coke and cranberry juice), and sparklers.
They placed us at the furthest booth from the stage, gave us dirty glasses, and brought out the sparklers and everything else without me at the table (my husband was at the booth by himself). Along with the mixer bottles literally half full.
They did give us new glasses and a better place to sit.
After 3 hours, we had about a total of 6 rounds of shots (jolly rancher, white gummy bear, ect...all things with a low alchohol concentrate).
My husband is our DD. He has had 5 shots and has been drinking SODA since we got here.
They put ALL of us on "hold" because my husband ordered 2 rounds (14 shots...7 white gummy bears and 7 jolly ranchers). There are 7 of us, so that's 2 each. Apparantly, that's too much. So we've been put on hold. Also told we were being served water AND had to pay $12 for bottled water...they gave us 5 bottles of water, but, again, there are 7 of us.
If they do nothing to fix this, we will NOT be back. I'm a bartender. Another lady in our group is a bartender. None of us are tipsy, let alone drunk. They specifically said that we're "on hold" because we ordered 14 shot (for 7 people).
I had hoped to get a bit of a buzz, but I can't because they think we've had too much to drink.
When I leave, I'll be going to the bar I work at...I have a breathalyzer test there. I can prove that I'm not over the legal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI actually enjoy this club for the most part. The atmosphere is great and the Entertainers are truly top notch. Besides being talented dancers and athletes, they're great people! (Luna, Mikky, Valerie, Katrina and Kelly come to mind)
My concern is very recent. There is now, I think in the last week or so, a rule where if you want to buy one of these lovely entertainers a drink it will cost you $30. The same price as a couch dance! That includes for a water, soda or beer; not just mixed drinks. Big "oof".
Now a choice must be made between enjoying some conversation and drinks or getting dances, rather than doing both.
Drinks here have always come at a premium. That's understandable and the environment is worth it being a little more expensive. $30 for a drink is unlike anything I've ever seen before and is several times higher than a drink anywhere else (even the ballpark).
I just don't see how I can enjoy having a few drinks with an entertainer before doing dances. Enjoying a beverage together or sending one from across the bar is a time honored tradition, a great icebreaker and generally part of working up to spending the real dollars at an establishment like this.
If I buy 3 drinks that could have been dances, the Entertainers spending time with me make a lot less for doing so. Can't blame them at all for if they feel the need to cut that part out and just go straight for the sales pitch on dances without any rapport being built. That's a problem as it's central to the experience.
I hope this goes away so the customer experience and this review can go back to the 5 stars...
