The one star is for the atmosphere and nice view. We waited there for an hour for 3 small plates: chips with small side of corn(looked bigger and better on pictures), crab cake sandwich and 2 tiny empanadas for $6 each. My son's chips and corn came in first after 40 min and then we still had to wait another 20 min for the rest when he was done. Earlier my husband went in to ask about our order. He said to the waitress we're waiting already 40 min and she pulled up our order and went out of her way to say "actually it's 38 min" š instead of just focusing on apologizing for the wait and not letting us know before ordering we will have to wait this long for bar food that wasn't even worth it. I asked can we get a discount on the order or the tip back. They offered a refund and no food (at least thats how I understood it) but we were already waiting for a hour so... I said anything would be nice for the wait. They offered a cake... they weren't super apologetic either. I heard later they started finally warning people there is an hour wait before people ordered......
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest place to eat around here, hands down!!! The specials are always incredible: fresh, delicious, and creative. The owner is there every single day, and you can tell, her and the staff put their hearts into this place. Weāve go regularly & havenāt had a single bad meal yet. My personal favorite? The torpedo pickle with garlic aioli (unreal) and the elote!! And every mocktail is so good you basically have to order two. The tres leches cake? Truly unlike anything Iāve ever had. itās not just dessert, itās an experience. Also the tacos and the chicken salad are made to perfection. The ambiance canāt be beat, right on the water. When I first discovered this spot after moving here, I felt so lucky!!!! it instantly became the place. They also keep things exciting with fun events and always something new to try. You can tell the owner genuinely cares, and it feels amazing to support such a hardworking small business. If youāre looking for a place that consistently delivers on flavor, creativity, and atmosphere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I stopped here after a ride on the bike. We loved the outdoor seating area and the view. The menu offers typical lunch items like sandwiches and hotdogs. Our food was good, but I feel like my tater tots were a little overcooked for taste. We will be sure to stop here again after a ride to try more items from the menu and their dessert specials Update 8/25 Came back with my children are and my puppy. Had amazing elotes dip with tortilla chips and their homemade special dessert; peach upside down cake, which was so delicious. The staff and servers were so nice as were the patrons. It seems like everyone is a friendly neighbor. My I paid $8 per child so they could swim in the lake and enjoy the beach. Dogs are allowed at the restaurant and tables, but not on the beach, so my pup and I enjoyed the good food and beautiful day sitting at a nice shady table while the kids enjoyed the swimming. Definitely coming back in the fall for more...
