Let me set the scene for you. I'm a truck driver an its hard to find good food out here on the road anymore. Most places don't want a truck in their lot and I guess I can understand it but it hurts to be told go away or don't stop here at all. After all we bring you most everything you eat, wear, and use and are away from our family for days or weeks at a time to bring you what you need.
Today is the first day off fall and I've been standing in the cold rain all morning loading. I've passed dozens of cafes but none have room for a truck tell now. I get parked, head for the door and that very nice blonde lady meets me with a hot cop of coffee in her hand for me. She must have seen me coming, soaking wet and cold. She sets me down near the heater vent and takes my order. Its the first food I've had since yesterday, no place for a truck to stop. The food was great. But the best thing is I was welcomed here.
So a big thanks to the cook that made my good food, and that nice blonde lady that made me fell at home.
PS: theres a large parking lot you could get 4 or 5 trucks...
Read moreI’m a local food reviewer in the area, I went to Mountain Shadows to review from recommendations from my Subscribers @donniemfng. I just went in to grab up a couple of items from there menu for review plus have lunch. First impression very homely and welcoming I like that.. So here’s my experience-the service from order to my hands was promptly delivered in a timely manner. First thing I tried was the Dessert Homemade Apple Pie which was good to me, I only wish that I had it served hot 3.9 stars for the pie 4 if it was served hot but that’s on me I didn’t ask. Then I had the 6oz Sirloin burger which was top notch and really fulfilling 4.6 for the burger without question. Over all very pleasant experience. And, no, prices were not so low as to expect that. We left still hungry. Then, on the way out we seen the specials, that were not on the menu at all, and one of them was something my husband was actually hungry for and hoped they had (liver and onions) but the waitress had never mentioned. We had already tipped her anyway thinking everyone was probably starving in a place like that. Great place...
