Montana's Country Cafe — Restaurant in Washington Township

So good! Stopped on the way home from a day of hiking on some nearby trails and man this place was a welcome surprise for us. I guess if you’re from the area it’s not a surprise Montana’s is bomb since the friendly staff seemed to know everyone in the place. I got a burger and it was delicious, really appreciated the details here. You know how sometimes you get a burger and after a couple bites you’ve got burger juice running down your wrist and everything inside the bun is all sliding around so you have to keep,like, biting the part sticking out of the bun and at the end your plate’s swimming in burger drip and you’ve got half a wadded bun still in your hand? Not here guy, everything in that burger stayed right where it needed too while still being super juicy and delicious. I don’t know if they’re baking their own buns or what but someone at some point made a choice to address burger slippage at Montana’s and they made the right call. Wife got a meatloaf melt and we never even thought that was a thing but she was glad someone did cause it was very tasty as well. Typically she is on Team Gravy when it comes to meatloaf and hates tomatoes, but not this day. My wife and stopped here after some antiquing in Fryburg. Great little side of the road place. Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices all in a nice small town diner kind of atmosphere. I had a bacon cheeseburger that was positively delicious. My wife had a burger as well and was likewise, very pleased with hers.
