Well another business destroyed by Snohomish County, thanks a lot. Nate Nearing is useless, what’s next the paddle pub? They survived COVID , but not the punch in the face by our rotten hateful county. Taking out Country Burger is like murdering Santa Claus.
Are you open or in business still? We always loved you guys....some little baby whiner reviews I see of late.
You are losing business opening that late, lots of people come up here for contractor or construction jobs and they will go to the lake Goodwin Store because you are not open in time, I have some knowledge of these things! They eat lunch in their trucks outside that store, while your doors are shut. Fried chicken and corn dogs....
Easily one of Snohomish County's top five hamburgers stops. Very friendly staff, great Reubens (seasonal, too bad), wonderful old fashioned style burger. Down side is that they don’t open until 11:30. We’ve been going to a local pub for food sometimes because of the late opening time. I can’t imagine a comparison to McDonalds. Their quarter pound burger is 4oz before cooking. Perhaps the sugar added to the meat is the appeal, or the fact that they have their own beef farms in South America at the expense or thousands of acres of rain forest to provide pasture. So sorry for waxing conservative. But for residents of this area this establishment is a godsend. Where dining choices are at a minimum. There are two. Our neighborhood enjoys Country Burger and the Paddle Pub, both are great, different style and atmosphere. Country Burger loses our business by the later opening time. We still love you both!!
I am going to add a update to this review, TRY THE CHICKEN CLUB, it is so good it could be illegal, maybe MSG? I don’t know but the seasonal Reuben is a close second, very, very good.
One of our two hidden 7 lakes gems.
November 2020: This is the time we should he keep our neighborhood businesses open for the long run I will be planing my take outs as soon as the turkey Samies are all done...we can’t lose our paddle pub...

Burgers are outstanding. Smaller patties than I'd like, but that's only cause they're so dang good! To the mustard/dijon dislikers out there, their house sauce is very good, and the Dijon is very subtle. I'm not a fan of any kind of mustard but I decided to leave it on, and it's quite good.
The fries are fresh, hot and well seasoned,
I've had to take a break from milkshakes, they just hurt me too much these days... which is very disappointing because I tried my daughters oreo shake and it was very well made. Could be a tad thicker, but we're toeing the line between 4.5 and 5 stars... fact is, it's fantastic either way.
Their website menu has a burger called The Big Country. It's not on their menu, secret menu sort of item. Figured I had to give it a shot. Not disappointed in the slightest. Huge burger, very delicious.
Kaylee (I hope I spelled that right, apologies if not) took my order. She was pleasant, friendly, witty, professional. Outstanding service.
The place is a little small. They have a few tables, but the building is a little cramped so there's only so many things they can do with the floor space. I expect a lot of their business is probably from the adjacent lake and many customers get their food to go so it's typically not a problem. Plan ahead accordingly.
A little expensive, probably because of the point from above. I could be wrong, but I do think they're sort of a local touristy location. Kudos to them either way, they seem to be doing well, and I can see and taste why. But it will be a few bucks extra, and that's ok. Give them a shot, at least once to...
Read moreWent to store at 4pm 6/6, didn't realize it opened at 4pm, sat in parking lot for a bit.
Ordered fries, onion rings, strawberry shake and chocolate malt. Weren't really in mood for burgers...with new restaurants we can usually tell how everything is by ordering fries, it's a good measure on how everything else is...it works for us.
Fries were good, some undercooked, some just right.
Onion rings, ok, pretty greasy, glad order was in paper bag, we used bag to soak up grease.
Shakes both good although on the small size for price.
Speaking of prices, fries and rings were pretty fairly priced, shakes not so much and paying $0.50 each for tartar sauce(was good)and a ring sauce (which is BBQ sauce with a dash of what appeared to Franks red hot sauce) Please don't charge for ketchup, not cool. I was going to get some after we got food but after seeing I had to pay, sorry.
Shakes came out a good 10 min before fries and rings...didn't help that by the time we had food, shakes were pretty much melted.
Wife payed $27 before tip for food and then, for some odd reason added a 20% which I NEVER would have, considering I stood and ordered at counter and then had to pick up food...twice. (see above)
Pretty expensive for 2 shakes and fries/rings even before tip, and didn't even order burgers. Considering that, I probably won't be back. Prices are approaching what Mammoth Burger charges which is, IMO, the most expensive, overrated burger place in the north end.
I realize it a "soft opening", please use this review as a coaching...
