Kelly Latte's — Restaurant in Washington

Edited to add: Unfortunately, I had to come back and lower my previous review. The drinks from here are usually so good, but we've recently had some absolutely terrible experiences here. This most recent one was the worst. The wait was about 35 arduous minutes. (Then the barista was extremely curt and unfriendly, she didn't mention the unreasonable wait or offer our kids a sucker or ask how our day is going.. nothing. Which isn't a requirement and didn't affect my review, but I felt it was worth mentioning as that is something we're generally used to.) And after all that.. my drink was actually half melted and completely mediocre, for the first time. We go out of our way to come here for a special treat, but my husband is so upset about this experience, I don't think we'll be back. I'm sad, this place is so great sometimes. But it's not worth the "miss" times.

Let me paint you a picture: I approached Kelly’s latte with the innocent desire for a refreshing Italian soda. Lavender, I said, thinking I’d get a soft, floral effervescence that whispers springtime. What I got instead was Mount Saint Helen’s: The Beverage Edition.

The moment the straw hit the cup, it detonated like it had been waiting since the Cold War for the chance. Lavender foam erupted with the fury of a caffeinated geyser. Soda water wept down the sides like molten lavender regret. The barista—an absolute legend—handed me a rag, full of calm and grace, like a battlefield nurse in a war against rogue carbonation, and quietly offered to remake my drink like this hadn’t just been a full-on beverage-based natural disaster.

10/10. Would recommend. But only if you’ve made peace with your gods and have quick reflexes.

This coffee shop truly has it all! From coffee and espresso to smoothies, energy drinks, and more, the variety is impressive. Their freshly made donuts are simply amazing (a must-try!), and I've visited several times to explore the diverse menu. My personal favorite is their frozen hot chocolate, especially when topped with whipped cream – it's simply divine. The staff is always friendly and efficient, whether you choose to walk up or use one of their two drive-through windows. There's plenty of seating available, some of which is covered, and the prices are very reasonable given the excellent quality of the offerings.
