Knepp's Amish Kountry Korner — Restaurant in Washington

I’m in love with their white chicken gravy, but to my dismay they only offer it on Thursday. So today being Saturday I knew they weren’t going to have it so I reluctantly told my husband let’s stop and get a bite. We do LOVE their chicken and salad bar!! We were waited on by a very handsome and personable young man by the name of Ethan. My husband mentioned we loved the white gravy and Ethan looked at me and said “ would you like some?” I starry eyed said” oh absolutely!” Thinking they would just heat up leftover from Thursday as that was only 2 days ago. A few minutes passed and my husband said “ I guess your not getting your white gravy “ I said that’s ok. Then Ethan came over and said “ go up there, I left you a present “ so I ran up to the buffet and there under a spotlight( not really) was a bucket of white chicken gravy. I about died. He asked the chef in the back to make me some and by gosh, no leftover gravy for me , it was made fresh!!! And to no disappointment it was stunningly delicious!! And so was the chicken and salad bar!!! HIGHLY Recommend Knepps!! Pies and breads are delicious too!!! Can’t say enough about Ethan and his AWESOME customer service! We wish him the best with his nursing career and Knepps is now my favorite restaurant...

The food is excellent although a couple of items were too salty. We especially like the fried chicken, creamed peas, and white gravy. I thought the gravy was the best I have had in a restaraunt. Excellent deserts too. Be sure to try the bread pudding. Our server was delightful and we enjoyed ourselves very much. We were there at 2:00 p.m. and the place was mostly deserted. If you don't want the buffet you can order a meat and two sides for something like $5.95. We have eaten at the other Amish restaraunts Black Buggy (closed), Stolls Evansville, Stolls Lakeview, and Gastof and I think this is the best.

Being a part of the food industry, I am always on the lookout for that special place doing special food. My wife brought me here the other day and I needed something low carb and meaty. I ordered just Roast Beef. Oh my goodness! It was by far the best roast beef I've ever had!!! The food was great, the people were so kind and helpful, the place was packed and the prices are astounding. They hit on all points and that is almost unheard of in a lot of places.
