Dear Luna, sorry about the 1 star rating. My niece was having a birthday so I took her and her parents to dinner with my wife and boy. I was a little afraid when they pulled up to Luna. In fact I was very afraid because I had told them that dinner was on me. Luna is for Yuppies not a blue collar worker like me. Anyway, the six of us got a table pretty fast. The menu seemed a little anemic, but was adequate for a birthday meal. My wife wanted some help ordering because she is not American and had never seen an a la carte menu before. I explained that plate one was first ($15), then the appetizers came second ($15), followed by the salad ($10 - $15), and finally the vegetable plate ($10), with the entrée ( $25-$40). After that would be the dessert menu ($10). Then her eyes got big when I told her it would probably be $100 for each person. And that would be if we didn't order any wine. Earlier in the night I hadn't planned on spending $500-$600 for dinner. I only had $230 cash, but I'm a man and can take it because I had a few thousand on my debit card. The salads came in 30 minutes and the rest came in another 30 minutes. And 30 more minutes to get the desert. My wife said my homemade spaghetti was better than theirs. Thanks! The pizza was on a crust that was about 1/8" thick. The greasy duck was ok. The bread plate was emptied fast and was never refilled. Speaking of refilled, three of our six water glasses were empty for a long time. But were finally refilled when I asked for it. My niece liked the Farro Risotto which was one of the two vegetarian options on the menu. The coconut cake was pretty stiff (old) without much flavor and was missing the custard filling. The espresso chocolate cake was 1/4" thick and was bitter. The Crosatta was ok. The carrot cake was ok. In conclusion, the service was a little poor when you have to beg for water. The wait was a little annoying when you're not used to it. Then came the big surprise when my stomach began to cramp up two hours later. It woke me up and signaled a much needed trip to the bathroom was in order. The poor service, and mediocre food was more or less acceptable, but I know when I have been given a good dose of food poisoning which continued through the night and into the morning. It was probably from their homemade Italian sausage in the spaghetti, not from the coconut cake. So.... if you have a few extra hours to waste, and a few hundred dollars, and don't care about the quality or taste of your food, and don't mind getting poisoned a little, then Luna might be right...

The cozy, intimate vibe makes it easy to strike up conversations with other patrons, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The bar staff are friendly, attentive, and consistently deliver excellent service – they’re always ready with a drink recommendation with a frequently changing cocktail menu.
One of my top menu picks here is the Luna Burger. It’s the perfect balance of juicy and flavorful, with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and a bun that complements rather than overwhelms the burger. If burgers aren’t your thing, their pizzas are another standout. The crispy, thin crust and thoughtful toppings make them a top contender in the Spokane food scene, easily satisfying pizza lovers.
The cocktail menu is another highlight. It offers an extensive variety, from timeless classics to inventive new creations, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re into light and refreshing or bold and boozy, this bar has you covered. Plus, the wine list is impressive, curated with care under the guidance of a high-tiered sommelier – one of the few places in Spokane to offer that level of expertise. This makes it a great spot for wine lovers looking for the perfect pairing with their meal.
The bread service is another standout. In fact, I’d say it’s bar none the best in town. Freshly baked and served with delicious sales butter, it’s a delightful way to kick off your meal.
That said, be prepared for a small quirk: the bar has spotty cell service at times, which can feel a bit inconvenient if you need to stay connected. But honestly, it only adds to the charm, encouraging guests to unplug and enjoy the company, drinks, and food in the moment.
With delicious happy hour offerings, an unforgettable kale salad (arguably one of the best east of the Cascades), and stellar service, the Luna keeps me coming back. Whether it’s a burger, pizza, cocktail, or glass of wine, this place has carved out a permanent spot as one of my go-to...

Great atmosphere and service. A very quant spot for a special occasion or ...just amazing food:)
I did make a mistake for take out. Ordered the beet salad and assumed it was a full salad for a meal, like other restaurants I go to.
Got two to go, added a small amount of chicken, and it was $60. In no way was it clear that it was a side salad. It wouldn't have been so painful if, with tip, it didn't come to $60! I fully understand expensive restaurants, but this is ludicrous.
I called in and my call was not exactly met with understanding. I would like to continue to go to this restaurant, the response of the manager did not make this as desirable. I'm leaving five stars - for now. After a mostly contentious call with the manager, she took off one salad and made me feel like I was just trying to get a discount instead of some understanding and...some actual food.
I think it should be more clear that it is a small side plate, since it is reasonable to think one would be getting more food for $60 even granted that it is an higher end restaurant - which paradoxically means you get less food.
I show in the images what a typical beet salad is for less money. Notice the full avocado, a ton of chicken (I didn't photo the chicken in Luna's, to be fair) cheese, lettuce, large nut clusters, ya know food. See if you can guess which one is from the...
